This is what I get out of it, but maybe deebo.doesnt want to be a hb/wr for the sake of longevity.
Don't see him replicating the same production without Kyle. He'd need an elite qb to continue his trajectory as a wide out.

Is Deebo elite being a wr by itself idk if he is...

There are zero reasons for the 9ers to give him that kind of contract right now. He's still on the hook and tagging wouldn't cost more.

Your example is exactly why if he gets a new contract this year instead of next, he needs to discount a little bit. Getting paid early is an insurance policy of sorts and you don't get it for free.

Thanks

No problem 😢

If this is the case, f**k him.

It makes sense why. The 49ers want to use him part time as a running back. That will likely reduce his career length, and thus the money he will earn. The only way the 49ers would be able to keep him is to PAY HIM, and I do mean PAAAAAAYY him.

It seems they have not wanted to do that. My guess is Paraag offered him an embarrassingly low number, and he lost his s**t. Agent probably said, "Look dude, if you stay there, your career will be three, four years shorter."

Which means the only chance the 49ers have is to basically overpay him, or give him a jaw dropping amount of guaranteed money.

.
^The above is speculation.

These kids need to start acting like adults with a capital A. Give us a press release like a real grown man. What a joke. Stop using agents and family members to talk and speak for yourself. Divas all of em I tell ya.

Honestly, this is a bumbling take. TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS are on the line here. I don't blame them for using every tactic at their disposal.

Most likely to get injured if you hold out of the off season program.

He averaged less than 4 carries per game last season. If that's too much risk he's playing the wrong game.
^ This.

I'd be more worried about special teams reps.

Or racism and death threats from the clients of the company you work for.

This is deceptive use of statistics. Prior to week 10 he averaged 0.75 carries per game. After week 10 (including playoffs), when the 49ers really understood his value in the backfield, he averaged 7.27 carries per game. In the playoffs, he averaged 9 carries per game.

The trend is clear: they plan on using him about the same amount as a backup or change of pace running back—in addition to his reps as a WR.
