I'd be fine with it. I think thats fair. They're not gonna give us #4.

Then take WR Wilson at #10.

At least we're keeping Jimmy

(I know it's a bit of apples and oranges, but still, wow what a sh*tty offseason so far)

Look at the timing. Imagine this came out after the draft then our options would be limited. Now we have options. NFL draft may get a lot more interesting for Niner fans. Let's control what we can control. We can't make Deebo sign. But we do control his rights.

Last year's draft had 3 top flight WRs and a top flight TE. This year there's a bunch of burners, but no one at that level. There is no equal return for a trade for Deebo. So regardless of our draft haul, our team will be worse than last year.

Good luck Trey.

reminder that Deebo was not considered all that amazing of a pic day of the draft.
As much as I would like to keep him because Deebo's don't just grow on trees, if he doesn't want to be here then we need to move on. We should get a kings ransom for the best all around weapon in the league. Then we can fix the O line by getting one of those stud OT's, or get a top flight corner, or get a long term book end to pair with Bosa. And getting a future stud on a rookie deal will help with the salary cap unlike breaking the bank with Deebo.

All that being said, it's gonna suck to trade away the best receiver we have drafted since TO. Only took us some 20 years to draft someone comparable to TO.

This dude is hurt so bad from losing. I would be willing to bet he thinks the team has regressed this off season. And who knows what his relationship is like with Jimmy. Maybe in his eyes, the 49ers are worse with Jimmy inevitably leaving the organization.

Could be Lance spending his off-season with BA as well.

I don't see this about money because he can wait to get paid. Why would there be a rush?

And lastly, this looks like it may be another Buckner deal, but this time we were warned about it. Deebo won't be the face of this team even if he were to stay.

I'd be happy with a top half pick in the first.

He's about to find out what regression means when he ends up on the Jets/Texans.

Gonna love to see it too. He's great, but IMO a huge product of the system

Then why can't the other scrubs we have had at WR produce the way he has?
What an absolute CLOWN!! Deserves every bit of criticism that comes his way.

I don't want any part in a WR in the first couple rounds. Fix the offensive line and secondary. Let Aiyuk be the #1 for a year and draft a legit WR in 2023

This is going to be a BIG L on John Lynch if we do in fact trade him. We have no offense without him.

It wasn't about cash it was about usage…if a player doesn't want to do something he's elite at well that's a player problem not John Lynch.

We have no offense lol. Good lord man. Kittle/Aiyuk most certainly don't suck. They run the ball pretty damn well even without deebo.

im a massive Deebo fan but sometimes there's s**t you can't do anything about. This sounds like one

He has had 2 pretty subpar years in a row. Granted, it was with Baker as his QB. But still.

Shennault on trade block, could absuty replace it, or come close.

Trade him to the Jets for their two first rounders.

No. We make him play out his contract, then franchise him. That's the best option for the team. Unless a team comes with no less than two 1st's, two 2nd's, and a B-level player he plays that contract out and face being tagged. I'd hate to do that because Deebo deserves to be paid, and I really like the guy. But we cannot afford to loose him, even in a trade.

One risk here is he gets injured week 5 of 2022. He spends all year complaining, social media slamming the club, is genuinely upset at not getting his big payday, etc. Now we got an injured malcontent on our hands. Think of what that would do to his trade value.

Right now the trade value is sky high he balled out. What's your exit strategy if you tag you can't tag forever, eventually he walks and we're left holding a big bag of nothing.

What's my strategy? Make him play out the contract, but continue at a long-term deal (and let it be known). Franchise him for 2023, but still attempt to hammer out a deal (and let it be known). Franchise him again in 2024, offer no deal (and let it be know). In 2025 he'll be 29, with the 49ers having gotten his best years, so we let him walk. And if during the process he plays the injury game and/or becomes an open malcontent then he reduces his own value and most certainly won't get the contract he could have gotten.

That's the strategy.
Rather not trade him for unproven draft picks. Needs to be for a proven player. Lock down CB or great ER.

John Lynch should recall what Bill Walsh said about getting rid of a player a year too soon than a year too late. Sure, the Niners could remind Deebo Samuel he is still under contract and say, "You play for us or nobody" and force his hand. But then what?

Say Deebo does stay by the bay, goes out, and then tears up his ACL or blows out his knee or something. BZZZZZT! There goes any leverage the Niners have in a trade. They'd be lucky to dump him then for pennies on the dollar.

As much as it sticks in the craw to give Deebo what he wants, trade him. He'll never have more value than he does right now. Sell high. Trade him during next week's draft to the Jets or some other AFC bottom-feeder that's starved for diva wideouts who are looking to cash in after one really good season. Sure, it's gonna hurt and those TD's and excitement will be missed, but there's another Deebo Samuel out there and maybe this one won't lose his happy state of mind because somebody got in his ear and blew up his ego.
Nice to have had you in crimson and gold, Deebo. Now hit the road.

Spot on

I mean I think the WRs overall are meh at the top. I can't see them not drafting a couple this yr if Deebo is gone.

That would cost Lynch his job.
