As much as I would like to keep him because Deebo's don't just grow on trees, if he doesn't want to be here then we need to move on. We should get a kings ransom for the best all around weapon in the league. Then we can fix the O line by getting one of those stud OT's, or get a top flight corner, or get a long term book end to pair with Bosa. And getting a future stud on a rookie deal will help with the salary cap unlike breaking the bank with Deebo.

All that being said, it's gonna suck to trade away the best receiver we have drafted since TO. Only took us some 20 years to draft someone comparable to TO.

We won't get a king's ransom though. He's not Hill, he's not Adams, at least not yet. No team is gonna give up multiple first and some change.

If this is really true, then you keep him on this contract, and tag him next season. Maybe things change by then, if not he's still gonna have to play at an elite level for us if he wants that big FA contract.

And I doubt he sits out. He's a 2nd round pick that's on a rookie contract. Dude hasn't made that much money yet to afford sitting out for a year.
Keeps getting better for Deebo. Lets negotiate x and o in the media. Lets negotiate what assignments are ok and what assignments arent in the press. This is aboit as clever as lynch "accidentally" liking a post dumping on his starting qb. Smart representation. Do we really want a player that's so out of touch on our team? Like i said sit this doofus on a couch for two years then buy him a bus ticket to schenectady.

This is going to be a BIG L on John Lynch if we do in fact trade him. We have no offense without him.

It wasn't about cash it was about usage…if a player doesn't want to do something he's elite at well that's a player problem not John Lynch.

We have no offense lol. Good lord man. Kittle/Aiyuk most certainly don't suck. They run the ball pretty damn well even without deebo.

im a massive Deebo fan but sometimes there's s**t you can't do anything about. This sounds like one

I agree. We are all just speculating on Deebo's and the 49ers motives and actions, but if Deebo really wants to only play WR then IMO his value goes down. Deebo is a good WR (obviously) but clearly it was the multi-threat position Deebo played in the offense that sent his value to the stratosphere. He is the type of guy you want on your team, hard-working, details focused, and tough as nails on the field. I want him, but sometimes it is what it is and teams need to move on. Hopefully the 49ers can get the same kind haul other teams received for trading away stud playmakers.

I'd be fine with it. I think thats fair. They're not gonna give us #4.

That would cost Lynch his job.

what do you think is fair value for a 1 year wonder? This is not a quarterback. Jets aren't giving us #4.

No way we would trade him to the Packers lol.

Or the Chiefs. No to the Chiefs and Packers. Jets, Lions, Texans, or any other crap organization, then absolutely yes.

Trade him to whoever can give us the best deal. Period, end of discussion.

Get rid of the team's best player for whatever someone offers?

Sounds like a terrible plan to build a winner.

Reminder that people actually weren't that high on him before he started taking carries. He was considered average route runner, injury prone and needed to be schemed open by the bulk of this very board.

John Lynch should recall what Bill Walsh said about getting rid of a player a year too soon than a year too late. Sure, the Niners could remind Deebo Samuel he is still under contract and say, "You play for us or nobody" and force his hand. But then what?

Say Deebo does stay by the bay, goes out, and then tears up his ACL or blows out his knee or something. BZZZZZT! There goes any leverage the Niners have in a trade. They'd be lucky to dump him then for pennies on the dollar.

As much as it sticks in the craw to give Deebo what he wants, trade him. He'll never have more value than he does right now. Sell high. Trade him during next week's draft to the Jets or some other AFC bottom-feeder that's starved for diva wideouts who are looking to cash in after one really good season. Sure, it's gonna hurt and those TD's and excitement will be missed, but there's another Deebo Samuel out there and maybe this one won't lose his happy state of mind because somebody got in his ear and blew up his ego.
Nice to have had you in crimson and gold, Deebo. Now hit the road.

Yeah, I have zero idea how you took this away from my post. Jesus.

You said whoever offers the beat deal no matter how bad that deal is.

Or, the 49ers could just keep him.

He actually said the best deal….

I don't want any part in a WR in the first couple rounds. Fix the offensive line and secondary. Let Aiyuk be the #1 for a year and draft a legit WR in 2023

We're going to have a lot of draft capital after this trade. We should be able to address all three needs.
Has one great year out of 3 and wants to be paid like a top 5 Wr. He is mad about nothing. The team hasn't done anything wrong with him. Trade is ass and move on don't need a cry baby in the locker room.

What else could they do to make him happy? They don't habe a reputation for lowballing players on contracts, and the report is it isn't about money anyway. They asked him to take on a more dynamic role, he agreed, and succeeded in it. So, they should be sorry for helping him be a star? To me this just shows a player who will never be happy if you keep him. Let him try to help the Jets return to their first SB in 50 years instead.

He was leading the NFL in receiving before Kyle made him help carry the load at rb.

He hurt his value by becoming a slash player.

He is a top 3 WR in the NFL, maybe the best.

I want to keep him too but its seems pretty clear thats not going to happen.

Trade him for "whatever someone offers" is not even close to what I said or meant. Cmon now.

Pretty sure he was the top WR this season before he was taking carries

Making him carry the ball so much was doing him wrong. Cost him receiving yards.
