Detroit already has a QB who costs way too much for what he brings to the table. Pretty sure they dont want another one. Imagine close to a $60M cap hit for a QB room of Goff and Jimmy. LMAOOOOO

because normally there are also other players playing at USC and it's a local program

It was just drake's pro-day.

God I hope it's a smoke screen.

If they do another one for one like they did with Buckner and Kinlaw I might become ill.

He was a leading receiver last year before he became an RB.

He's mostly a receiver that is schemed for success than a guy like Hopkins where you can just toss it in his general direction. Deebo feasts with Kyle's offense. They are good for one another, but you can't break the bank for a guy who wants to narrowly define his role.

His worth is actually more than any WR because of the way offenses in this era are using players. He is in the CMC category and there's only 2 players in that category.

CMC aint telling the whole league he doesnt want to play that role anymore but wants to be paid like he still is

BINGO!

If the trade deebo and don't replace him with someone who can lead the league in receiving yards, this team is doomed.

He isn't a replacement he is the other WR.

Getting rid of Deebo would be stupid.

Yep. We would be f**ked

Not at all. Here's the thing, even if we could work this out and keep him, it would be under the conditions that we don't use him that way anymore. So we lose his productivity either way.

He was leading the league as a WR. Maybe we should actually draft a RB who can stay on the damn field? Stop with this small injury prone dudes. Running Deebo asuch as we did toward the end of the season was stupid and there were plenty of us saying so.

Deebo really screwed the 49ers on this ... If he would of told them this sooner maybe they could have done a Deebo for Tyreek Hill trade.

Glad they didn't no WR worth that much

Hill is a POS

We don't want a bunch of choir boys though. We want players who know how to win. Winners do what it takes to win the big one

If beating women is your idea of a tough guy... I have no use for you either.

We really should have seen this coming with the way he was reacting on Twitter and social media to every new wide receiver deal signed this off season. Tacky as f**k.

Some did. Others not so much

Yeah and he wasn't exactly acting like if he was happy for the player that signed the deal it was more of a "okay if that's what he got then I'm going to get something bigger."

Smh

Diva Samuel.

What's wrong with you! At least the 4!

I tend to agree - I'd love #4.

But, let's say they do trade. Based on the JG scenario - the price will be VERY high. And he doesn't have a no-trade option.

At the minimum it'll be a top 10 first round pick and something else like a player or a high pick in next years draft.

Jets are at the top of the list w/enough ammo. Colts need a #1 WR. Not sure if they have the fire-power to make a deal. Houston might also be in the mix.

I don't see an NFC team getting a nibble.

Check the trade value chart in the Draft War Room forum. Adams and Hill went for around 1100 ballpark in trade value.

If you say Deebo is similar this would be around pick 14 straight up.

Just FYI so ppl aren't sorely disappointed when we don't get top 10 packaged with a ton of other stuff, which I don't see happening. Could get multiple ones but it would probably not be a high end one this year. It would be a back end first this year and a 1 next year imo.

We really have to trade him now. At this point, we've lost his productivity either way. If we work it out so he stays, he won't be used that way anymore. So best value we can get is via trade.
Pretty shocked by this too be honest. Definitely a bummer to lose a favorite player on the team, but that's part of why I cheer for the laundry not individual players. Get the best deal we can and move on. This could be a historic wide receiver draft. I also think Ayuik was due to step into a bigger role. Certainly going to miss see his explosive plays tho. I am a very optimist person and still think Jimmy will be gone but Jimmy still being on the roster and deebo not certainly doesn't sit well with me.

He was a leading receiver last year before he became an RB.

Half of one season of his entire career that still featured a ton gimmicks to get him open and might still be considered too many hits for his taste isnt the ringing endorsement you think it is for a huge contract.

My dream scenario would be a 2022 1st and a 2023 1st. We would recoup both firsts lost in the TL deal. And a 2023 first would have a chance of being the #1 overall pick in the draft.

You all are crazy! Not going to get two first. Adams the best wr in the league only received a first and second. No way someone is giving up multiple first for a wr that is already crying about the way he is used.

We don't need someone to do what Deebo did. Did we have someone do that In 2019?. We need a receiver to make plays down field, especially since we have Lance at QB. Idk. Maybe bring In a veteran like J. Jones? Losing Deebo makes us a weaker team, but it's not the end of the world. Looking forward to seeing JJ and Aiyuk shine.
Spot on. If Deebo doesn't want to tote the rock anymore, that's fine. It's going to reduce his value, but that problem isn't mine. I mean, that's what made him such a dual-threat because other teams didn't know if Deebo was going to be a running back or a wide receiver on any given play.

But the NFL is a league where an offense can get away with doing something for one season before the defensive coaches start breaking down the film and figuring out ways to squash all that stuff. Now that they have film on Deebo, he's not going to surprise anybody anymore.

This only reinforces the urgency to trade Samuel now while his stock is still sky-high.
