Injury rate? Running the ball 3 times a game doesn't make you a running back.

Someone needs to reach out to Deebo and explain to him that running the ball three times a game doesn't make him a running back.

Also, NYniner85. . .why wouldn't he want to be used as a running back? Cant be the f**king injury rate and career length of running backs could it?

Naw

My dream scenario would be a 2022 1st and a 2023 1st. We would recoup both firsts lost in the TL deal. And a 2023 first would have a chance of being the #1 overall pick in the draft.

You all are crazy! Not going to get two first. Adams the best wr in the league only received a first and second. No way someone is giving up multiple first for a wr that is already crying about the way he is used.

Deebo is a lot younger though. That kinda matters. 2 firsts should be the asking price, but I'd settle for a first and a second plus a decent player

Wouldn't shock me if the FO short changed him and that's what started all of this.

Calling practice for the beginning of negotiations…if they Drew a line in the sand on what they're willing to pay then he said trade me

Teams look at draft trade value in chart form. You can come up with similar value to the Hill and Adams deals with a back end one this year and a future first which is discounted around 50% as a future selection.

I 100% buy what Rappaport is selling. I don't think there is any amount of money that will get him to sign here. I think we offered him top WR money, as has been reported and he is going to walk because in retrospect the hits he is taking, to be used how we use him, are going to shorten his career. The catch there is, without that dual role, I don't think he is a top 5 receiver and to make matters worse for him, sitting a year pretty much destroys your career. So he has very, very little leverage. Anyone who wants him is going to want 49ers Deebo, not borderline top 12 guy who doesn't take handoffs. So he is forcing his way off a system that made him a household name and likely offered him top dollar over not wanting to be used in a way that is exactly how his market is going to want to use him.

Good post!

Can we get 10, 35, and 69 from the jets?

I doubt it. We'd be lucky if we can. I'm envisioning more like 35/38/69 picks from Jets for Deebo. Doubt Niners that that. Now the problem is getting enough value for Deebo. He's worth more to us than other teams unfortunately.
What team even wants to trade for him if he doesn't want to play running back anymore? Only Saleh and the Jets might be interested because they know him.

If it was a very late first this year I could see it maybe. But not if he is stating he wont take any carries.

This off season has been a f**king nightmare. Can we go back to the NFCCG and play Trey and try again?

Check the trade value chart in the Draft War Room forum. Adams and Hill went for around 1100 ballpark in trade value.

If you say Deebo is similar this would be around pick 14 straight up.

Just FYI so ppl aren't sorely disappointed when we don't get top 10 packaged with a ton of other stuff, which I don't see happening. Could get multiple ones but it would probably not be a high end one this year. It would be a back end first this year and a 1 next year imo.

Well closer to draft you can pressure folks. You know what you get with deebo. Any draft pick is a risk. You never know. Also always aim above the mark to hit the mark

I'm not. He's arguably the best football player in the NFL. And he's on our team. And we may let him walk
Trade value chart info:

Using the old-school Jimmy Johnson chart, Green Bay received 1,150 points for Adams while Chiefs received 1,092 points (or 1,087, depending on which fourth-round pick was acquired) in 2022 compensation and perhaps another 64 points in 2023 compensation (subject to change, obviously) for possible total of 1,153 points. If that's the case, the trades would basically be a tie.

So we can get expect something like 1100 in comp. Pick 32 from Detroit is 590. Next years first if you assume as mid-round would be 1000 and if you discount 50% as a future selection it comes to 500. 500+590 = 1090 or right around 1100. This is how we get two first round picks for Deebo.
