Holy crap. That's impressive. Even though I thought we could have had better, like Butler, if that's a small sample how he works off the field, look out. I sure hope he proves most of us wrong.

The NFL was so impressed by Butler that he went in the 4th round.

There are parts of his game that are really impressive but I think too many minimized his weaknesses. Samuel is easily a better overall receiver.

You mean you think Hakeem"Brickhands" Butler is better?

His hands must have been the reason he dropped so far.

It is, scout's were saying he had two bricks for hands.

15% drop rate is an issue. He'd make one spectacular highlight catch that would get you out of your seat and then inexplicably drop two easy passes on third down.

Sounds like Brandon Lloyd part deux

If we didn't take Deebo 36, where would he have gone?

Most pre-draft had Butler higher than Deebo but it's splitting hairs. Cossell as well.

And we'll get to see it live twice a year now for the next 4 years.

Possibly. I think he's not that polished in tight spaces and tends to fall back on his tools to make a play. Kind of like an uber athletic SG that just tries to drive and dunk everything.
Does anyone know Deboo's real name?

He's a physical receiver that is a very good route runner and was highly productive in a so so passing offense. That plays well in any offense. If the 49ers didn't take him then I think he comes off the board in the next 10 to 12 picks.

Butler was ranked higher among TV analysts because they don't take into account scheme fit and base it off highlights, measurables and production only. Butler's big negative is kind of like a glaring injury history on a player. The best ability is availability. Well, you're not a receiver if you can't catch the ball. Not to sound too John Madden, but you can't catch the ball if you can't catch the ball. His drops and bad hands were a major concern. Probably cost him at least 2 rounds.
