Lol f**kin amateurs. I think Deebo was closer to McDaniels than he was Welker
Cowherd made some good points this morning. The only thing I disagree with in this video is his assessment of Aiyuk. He states if BA was as good as we hoped, we'd move off Deebo. I think BA is right on schedule to break-out. Had a good (not great) and promising rookie year. Sophomore slump the first half of 2021 and started to come on at the end of 2021. He's working out with Lance and seems to be doing the right things to break out in 2022.

Start it at the 5:02 mark

Also Christian Kirk at 18 mil a year? Wtf am I missing there?

🤣 if he forces his way out to go to the jets, such a s**t team to go to…idgaf about Saleh, they are still trash

Agree, Deebo needs to get out of his feelings and have some patience. The Niners would have eventually compensated him fairly. Going to the Jets is just a dumb move for his career in my opinion. Good luck with that.

Aside from that I still hope we keep him.

Agree with every bit of this. Deebo is being extremely (but sadly predictably) emotional, criminally impatient, and I dare say a bit immature. As a youth football coach I see this sort of behavior all the time. And I know exactly where it comes from, though I won't say it here. But if there's one thing that I've been very critical of professional athletes is their serious lack of maturity. We're watching grown boys who simply haven't grown up mentally. But like I said, I won't say here why I think that is.

What is it? Bad parenting? Being spoiled at a young age? Something cultural? I NEED TO KNOW!

I loved my youth football coach. He really got the best out of us while we won the pee-wee state championship in NJ.

He also liked to join us in the showers and throw nickels at our legs. I can't remember exactly what he would recite while doing it, but it was something about getting shoved in the crawl space by his mother because he wasn't a "big boy" yet. Typical youth football stories. I have a few more

Anyways back to Deebo. The more I think about it, it wouldn't be crazy to trade him. If you asked me two weeks ago I would never want to part ways with the guy. But he is an injury risk and we could bolster our OL and D a lot if we trade him.
49ers are trying to figure out when N where the relationship soured I think I figured it out. Couple of weeks ago Samuel said 49ers fans had been sending him death threats N using racial slurs too, even though he replied on a video saying that kinda s**t don't bother him at all I think that was the breaking point. Good luck in NY I'm sure them New Yorkers are well mannered out there pal!!!! 👋

He had already scrubbed his social media of the 49ers by then.

I agree with the 2nd part, but the fact is the tag does work. I'm not going to go through every instance, but I am sure it worked the majority of the time. It's not always required as you say but if didn't work there would be no threat.

Historically, these are the best 9ers who played under a tag:

Steve Young (1993)
Terrell Owens (1999)
Julian Peterson (2004, 2005)
Aubrayo Franklin (2010)
Dashon Goldson (2012)

Even without this....the THREAT of the tag forces people to the negotiation table for many deals that we never hear a thing about regarding the "franchise tag."

Some posters here have formed this false comfortable narrative that all 85 players on an NFL team has to be "Happy."

Lol this is just not the case. Many of these guys play with depression and all sorts of other stuff I cant name. Players like Calvin Johnson....you really think he was happy all of his career playing as a Detroit Lion? Of course not,...but there was the threat of the franchise tag and they could offer him the most money,...so he started off a Lion and retired a Lion -- UNHAPPY.

Is there something I've missed? All I know is he's enacted a well-known bargaining tactic known as requesting a trade.

Trading Deebo, because he asked to be traded, is setting a bad precedent. Next Year Bosa might ask to be traded to Miami and go home.

Here's a speculation, maybe they flat out told Deebo they're not going to resign him? Deebo and Bosa are demanding 25-30mil QB money, if you have to choose one, you choose the pass rusher. They say the point of having a cheap QB is to be able to sign/resign player's. What if those players are paid QB money? Isn't that the same dilemma of having a expensive QB?

50m is qb money now

I know, 25m+30m for Deebo and Bosa respectively. I'm saying they probably choose to sign Bosa.

Bosa is locked up till 2023. Jimmy's money is going to deebo aka fair offer LOL.

Deevah GONE !!! Deevahhh GONE !!! - just like that useless Jett !!!

That is a horrible comparison. Jett was useless while Deebo was the MVP of the team.

An All-Pro WR MVP.
Someone is reporting a Jets offer of 10th, 35th, 99th, 2023 2nd and Elijah Moore.

This is starting to feel like some twilight zone s**t.
Unless someone comes in with a crazy deal (2x 2022 1sts or more), why would the Niners do anything until tomorrow during the draft?
