No. He's not a burner but he's got plenty of speed.

4.48 speed at 214lbs

Crazy how 4.4 is no longer considered fast.

Back in the day 4.4 was the benchmark

IMO there are different levels of speed.

Burner to me are guys like Tyreek Hill, Goodwin, TY Hilton, etc.

The type of guys who if they have a step on someone they're gone, angle or not they're not getting caught from behind.

Samuel is more quick than fast. If he gets a step on someone odds are he's gone but he can be caught from behind by the super fast defenders.

Great post, I agree.

I was just commenting on the 40 time.

Speed is great, but there are a lot of guys with speed that simply cannot play football.

I'm with this. I keep it simple.

4.4 guys usually get caught from behind in a straight line. Burners faster than 4.4 can kick it into another gear, and ... They're gone.

Deebo with his quickness and at 4.4 will be just fine. He's going to get chunks of yards, and most of the time people will not care if he gets caught from behind or not.

Yeah I mean imo that's still pretty damn fast lol...especially at 214Lbs.

Sure you got DBs who can catch him (4.3 speed) most of those dudes are 190ish...Dude is a tank, very hard to tackle.

Go watch the Clemson game

I just watched it last night. Clemson has very good corners too. Deebo is easily the best route runner in the draft. Can't wait!
He's going to be a beast for us.

Deebo is the best WR in the draft, we got a super star. Deebo + GQ = Rice + Montana

Remember Jerry Rice? 4.71 sec, ain't that fast.
Remember Terrell Owen? 4.45 sec, ain't that fast either.

Speed is over rated,

Would be awesome if Pettis, Deebo and Hurd could play up to their potential and stay healthy.

Hurd is someone I have my concerns with but very much intrigued to see what he could do. Those guys may not scream elite WR group but Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen weren't exactly a group to get excited about back in 2015. I'd say right now they're a pretty quality duo.

Hopefully(feel like i have to keep saying this in every thread) we stay healthy and get to see Jimmy with these guys develop chemistry in camp and take that ch*t on the road and start things off right week 1 and finally get us back to playoff football.

He may never get to Antonio Brown level but he's got that work ethic. Deebo, Pettis, and Hurd will be an amazing trio of WRs for years imo.
