To be fair, he shouldn't clarify. All of this drama plays well into his getting a better deal. He's said enough that he can say he didn't instigate it or intentionally add fuel.

Oh, I agree. But he and others in his position) needs to just let his agent do the negotiating. Grow up, stop bucking for attention and validation via tweets. True business isn't handled in public. The lack of professionalism make you look petty, immature, and overly emotional. We expect that from women and children, not grown men.

This is business. Deebo, you deserve $25+ mil annually, IMHO. But you will still need to negotiate for it. "Right and wrong" has no place in negotiations.

Which he will get before the season. There is no indication that the 49ers don't want to sign him to an extension. Is the amount what he wants right now? Probably not but that is how negotiations go. They are a process. One side request over what they would take and the other side offers less than what they would.
