As I've said look at the sheer hate over Jimmy. I'm not trying to be rude but he's right we have a faction of fans that are absolutely garbage fans. That's not saying you have to like every player but these guys go beyond sports. It's something deeper.

Every sports team of every sport has a faction of fans that are absolutely garbage, what's your point?

You think NFL players have it bad? Try being a player in the EPL or some other premier soccer league. Those fans send death threats and will actually go through with it given the chance
Like this? I fully believe him and as Sherman points out...maybe this garbage faction(edited it's a small but garbage group that go beyond "Jimmy is not top 10") of our fanbase is playing a role.

Deebo Samuel says he's received death threats, racist messages over contract situation

1. He needs to get off social media if anonymous keyboard warriors can affect him in that way.

2. If that is a big reason for all the drama, he better stay away from NY.

I mean you could also debate how much his finger print is actually on the roster. When Lynch was brought in, he was brought in to be more of a public relations figure more so than a traditional GM per say. Kyle has always had say and control on roster moves. More than your average NFL coach. You can pretty much credit Kyle for Deebo and many others as those were his guys.

I think Kyle is to be credited for the NFCC appearances more than Lynch if I'm honest.

At this point, if there is no trade, I just hope this doesn't drag on through training camp.

Have you been following the Garoppolo situation? I'm beginning to think Lynch is not cut out for this job.

Maybe he preferred Trent Baalke?

You can not debate it. The San Francisco 49ers have been in two of the last three NFCC including one SB with John Lynch as GM. Literally only two other GMs in the NFL have done better over that period of time.
Dont trade Deebo!

I agree. But, through his own words (via Darlington), he doesn't want to be here. If that's truly the case, he's gotta go.
Even if we get a great haul, I'll be sick if we trade him. How many players in each draft become all-pros? Even if we get 2 first rounders, there's still only around a 10% chance that any of the players we draft will reach Deebo's level.

I feel the same way man. Deebo was legitimately my favorite player on the 49ers. It just sucks that it came to this. Whether Lynch bungled the negotiations or Deebo just doesn't want to be here, the endgame has to be a trade to consolidate the asset.

That is very true but what can be done if he refuses to play for us? Next best option is to get a bunch of draft picks and see what happens.

As much as I love Deebo, he's at his peak value right now. I don't expect him to either stay healthy or be as productive again.
Just need to remind myself, we wouldn't be trying to draft one player to replace Deebo, we'd be drafting 2-3 plus strengthening the team elsewhere.

Losing Deebo would be a step back, but hopefully only briefly before a couple steps forward.
Why do people continue insinuating like it's the 49ers that wants to trade Deebo? He's the one that doesn't want to be there and asked to be traded, regardless for what reason(s)

Who is insinuatingthat? Shouldn't everyone know this is Deebo's move, the only question is whether we dig in or let go?

This may not mean anything, but Twitter has been identifying his location over the last few days as Santa Clara. Honestly at this point it wouldn't surprise me if he signed an extension between the end of the draft and training camp, then went on to claim this was all media driven. Until he addresses it there isn't much about this situation that makes since. It all just seems like game playing. I really wouldn't be shocked at whatever happens at this point.

Agreed. If the Niners got Hamilton at 10, packaged 35 and another pick to trade up for Linderbaum, and got the best available edge at 38 and best available WR at 61, it would be hard to argue that the team wouldn't be better off without Deebo.
If he is not traded by #10 overall he likely won't be traded this year. That pick will probably tell us what is going to happen.
