So there's two parts to that thinking:
1. Never tip your hand because if you trade now another team could leapfrog and take the guy you want.

I don't buy that because usually they want a physical done (from their doctors) and in this case an extension signed for insurance that the player will stay with the team.
I think it would be one of Stingley/Hamilton or Johnson as "the guy" they want there
It could have been done for all we know. Its possible, but I doubt it.

I would say it should be a drinking game the times they cut to commercial for the 49ers selection but I don't want people dying.
Draft was much better when they had Rounds 1-3 starting in the morning on Saturday. The turning it into a primetime show was stupid. It seems like back then they went over every pick in depth with just a bunch of crap filled in. Now by Day 3 most people just don't care bc it's been going on forever.
