Seahawks may get that #10 for DK

Better than US
I was thinking Metcalf wouldn't be worth the 10 spot if they are offering that for Deebo. Then I looked at Metcalf's career stats versus Deebo and Metcalf has better stats at this point.

Who in the hell is this guy? Why are you all posting stuff from random twitter users? If the source isn't someone that's verified, its complete bogus.

You might like to argue over nothing, I'm not interested.
Unless YOU have 20M+ to pay deebo for a big contract and signing bonus, let the 9er FO and Paraag handle the issue and cap space because you have no idea what it takes to get a deal done with deebo or any other NFL player.

Jimmy is getting dumped regardless, and you're probably a big Jimmy fan, his 26M+ with it goes a long way to signing whoever, including deebo if that's what the 9er FO plans on doing with it, and won't be wasted because the Trey Era has already begun.

You want to argue with me instead instead? Because you keep posting this nonsense about Jimmy's contract holding up a Deebo extension regardless of how many posters explain to you that his contract has nothing to do with a Deebo extension.

Oh look who finally showed up with their mouth.

Not interested, don't care LOL.

The 9ers are in last place at $861K in cap space.
Is that enough to sign deebo and pay him a big signing bonus right now?

Once Jimmy G is gone, they will have it to sign anyone they want, including deebo if that's the 9er FOs plan. Have fun arguing over nothing lol...

Deebo has a contract for 2022 - it will pay him $4 and it will not be changing. If he signs a fat ass contract extension, he's still being paid $4 in 2022.

Again you forget the signing bonus as already mentioned is the issue. If that wasn't the issue the 9ers might have already made a fair offer to deebo.

lol
I don't think he gets traded. If he does it's by pick #10. With some additional picks possibly. If he's not traded when pick #11 comes online he won't be traded.

For that reason the first 10 - 11 picks will be interesting to watch tonight.

For real? If Deebo signs a contract extension then the signing bonus counts towards the 2022 cap?

Cause it's not true. Signing bonuses on extensions affects the current years cap

Signing bonuses spread over first 5 years of contract.

Go ask Paraag and any of the media that has already talked about the issue. I don't work for the 9er FO or the media, I can care less really. I know though once Jimmy G is gone a fair offer will be made to deebo if that's the 9er FO plan is to offer him a deal now instead of forcing him to play out his rookie contract because he wants to get pay now rather than later. Or just trade him away tonight, which is the dumbest move the 9ers can make because that's taking 10 steps back from last season.

My guess is that Deebo specifically asked for the money that is earmarked for Jimmy G. He doesn't just want $25 million, he specifically wants that $25 million and he knows he can't have it if Jimmy remains on the roster, so he had no choice but to request a trade. Sad situation and, besides Jimmy, no one is to blame for it.

What do you mean by the bolded? That it's possible to tear up the final year of his rookie contract?
