Cowherd just proposed this trade if it had to happen. Jets get Deebo for picks #10, #38 and next years 3rd rounder. Is that enough? I'd seriously consider that one.

I know that the 2 situations aren't completely the same because Rodgers would get his previous signing bonus plus the new signing bonus. However, Deebo would still get his signing bonus this year if he signed an extension because it impacts the entire length of the contract and not just the extended years.

Cant signing bonuses be spread out however they want to be though?
read here that Warner and Kittle's extension didn't increase their cap hit in their final year

For real? If Deebo signs a contract extension then the signing bonus counts towards the 2022 cap?

Yes

Signing bonuses spread over first 5 years of contract.

Who is correct? Because these are two different answers.

"Aaron Rodgers recently signed a five-year extension with a $35 million signing bonus to extend his contract though the 2019 season. With the signing bonus for the extension, it actually impacts the cap every year of his entire contract, rather than just the years extended. This means that Rodgers' signing bonus will be worth $5 million against the cap each year for the next seven years. Any previous signing bonus will still count for the years under the previous contract."

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1665623-how-does-the-salary-cap-work-in-the-nfl#:~:text=With%20the%20signing%20bonus%20for%20the%20extension%2C%20it,count%20for%20the%20years%20under%20the%20previous%20contract.

Different situation. Rodgers has signing bonus already to work off. Deebo did not.

That's exactly what deebo wants, the signing bonus aka money straight to the bank (and obviously guaranteed money as much as possible) when he signs a new contract (in this situation, an extension), aka Jimmy's money when he is dumped. How hard is it for people to understand that lol. Must be bitter Jimmy fans.

Fr fr. I mentioned this early this morning and everyone ignored. Atleast my efforts aren't going completely unnoticed.

I mean, what else would be holding things up? No way Deebo just doesn't want play for Shanahan anymore. What WR wouldn't want to play for Shanahan? Why would Shanahan finally have his guy and then let him walk when he is due for an extension? Its MONEY. Its always about the MONEY. The 49ers are playing the waiting game and Deebo is being impatient.

My guess would be because both were after June 1st and likely able to move it to following year. Likely why we wait so late to extend our guys.

Just a guess though

And deebo has a serious attitude concern off the field. Tantrums, leaks, b***hing, etc. A grateful receiver couldn't be further than that.

Grateful, LOL

Come on. No one should care about how grateful they think he should be.

10, 35, 2nd next year.

At least 35 and not 38. I'm a little flexible on next year.

He signed his extension in August of 2020 if you look at his signing bonus numbers you'll notice his 2020 matches the next 4 years while adding the previous bonus from his rookie deal.

So what you read appears incorrect

An extension announced by Rapaport right as the Jets go on the clock with number 10. Make it happen Paraag!

I agree - I want #35 and a 2nd next year or #38 this year.
