I always like Coleman. I think I even had us taking him in my mock that year because I thought he'd be a good fit for Chip Kelly's offense, with his combo of size, speed, and catching ability.
If we keep McKinnon I'm fine with that. But I was never that into him and would not be bothered if we cut him to save money and make room for a draft pick.
Coleman makes it less likely, but I'd looooove to draft David Montgomery.
Anyway, exciting signing at a good price. Well done!

Current 40 times of our RBs
I'm guessing Shanny likes speed.

Of course not. But it will light a fire under his ass as if he isn't motivated enough. Or should be.

Why is jet a failure for tearing his acl? It's not like he played all year and averages 2 yds per carry
I mean his acquisition is a failure. He may have all the potential in the world but he is still unproven and we cannot wait for that kind of s**t anymore. Move on and move forward and keep players who play so that we can quickly evaluate them and make quick decisions on whether to keep or acquire better players. Tevin Coleman signing should tell you everything.
I kind of knew he's an injury waiting to happen with his size and the position he plays. I was only surprised at how soon the injury came, which was even before the regular season started. I expected him to be dinged around the 6th week. Now with Colman, assuming all three make the team (Colman Breida and McKinnon) Kyle should have the depth to keep his backs healthy. Even Mostert, he looked really good, prior to that freak broken arm injury. I'm glad they revamped our medical conditioning guys, there was just some bad juju there that had to be exorcised.

McKinnon is the thicker 'back, but they're practically the same size. Kyle has a type.

Jet is done. The times for waiting for players to be 100% is over. We must get past that stage and have higher expectations. I'd rather work on a player's fumbling and have him give us big production than keep paying a guy to try and get back to 100%.
I think they should cut Jimmy and might as well cut Alexander now as well.

"Jerick's recovering great," Lynch told reporters. "He really is. I think one of the cool things, we didn't get a chance to see him on the field, but we've been able to see the work ethic that we always heard about with Jerick McKinnon front and center in his rehab. He's just getting after it.

I like Colemam but wtf does this mean for Mckinnon? I wouldn't be surprised if he's asked to take a paycut.

Not sure why all measurements are not aligned with combine numbers

I'm envisioning plays with Coleman/Breida and Juice in the backfield with McKinnon in the slot
