Yep. Not rocket science is it?

No way Mullens gets put on PS. Another team would snag him up real quick with us getting nada.
Would you really be upset if Mullens was snagged to be a backup on another team? He's our third stringer. He did well albeit, but we are talking about losing our third stringer. But not to get off subject, we can only carry two QB's if we want to have 4 RB's active on Game day.

Not to get off topic, but:
Bold 1) Yes
Bold 2) He was our 3rd stringer
Bold 3) If that's the case, C.J. can hit the bricks

What on earth? How much money does Kyle want to spend on RBs? Jet Juice Coleman. F it, let's run 31 personnel.

How many Arbys did he went through last year...he used up all of them and then had to reused a gimpy Breida with still about 4-6 games left... Or something like that.

he fast, like really fast.. he so fast he make fast people look slow
Kyle has already stated that he wants competition, the RB room will be pressing for targets, this is a great signing.

I could see this although Wilson could certainly be claimed from some team.

I think it's a risk there willing to take especially with Wilson's early fumbling problem plus it wouldn't be hard for Shanahan to find a 5th RB to plug in and play well

Someone has food on they mind huh? LMAO
Nice cutbacks. Looks legit in the redzone

We send Mullens to the PS not caring if he is picked up because we got Jimmy and his backup. You think Belichik is worried about his third QB? Well maybe this year...lol

So just give up a late rd pick for the 0.00000000000000000000000001% chance that Mullens would be picked up and thus not on our PS? What sense does that make?

Ok to stay on topic let's compare:
Jimmy = McK
Beathard=Breida
Mullens=Mostert

For sake of argument/debate, who are we really worried about with the chance we stay healthy. Now we throw in TC who can bump any of those 3 RB's down the line.
Zoners........The ones that are freaking out chill.......stick your n.ts in the freezer for awhile.

It's 5 million dollars a year, it's a steal for a quality back and it's only 2 years for a proven back who can do everything in kyle's system
last year.......we lost Mckinnon, brieda, Mostert......and finished with Wilson (who fumbles all the time)

Look at the Pats......they got Sony Michel, burkhead, James White, Corradelle Patterson......you need a lot of backs.
Especially in Kyle's heavy run system

I also got a feeling they may run, two backs in the backfield, Brieda hinted at that before the season started and before Brieda got hurt.......which would be a lot of fun to see.

Mostert - played like a beast when he got a lot of carries, but probably not the guy you want taking a lot of carries
Coleman - Not injury prone, solid runner, but you now you can run him less, and mixed in
McKinnnon - hopefully he comes back to full strength......still a great pass catcher, and break out in the open field
Brieda - A great back, but another guy you don't want to over run

This a deep backfield.......I still think they need a short yardage back but we will see

Top 20 among RB's in rushing + receiving yards last season. Just above Breida.

I like it

Let the training camp battle begin. Also, this might mean the Jet is not ready to fly yet.

Not the big back most of us are looking for, I think we will take a big back late rounds, or udfa. Maybe we sign vet FA after the draft.

No guaranteed roster spot for Coleman, and anyone in the backfield. This signing is nice insurance policy for McKinnon. I look forward to roster battles late in summer.

He is very solid from the waist down. Develops a lot of power from his thighs. Playing weight is listed at 210 but plays more like 220.

Good signing. Means we don't have to use a mid pick for RB depth.
