Great pickup on another prove-it deal. If he can actually stay healthy he and Sherman should be a great combo.

49ers have been one of the most injury-riddled teams since 2013, how do they fix that? By signing players with injury histories
Fighting fire with fire. Two negative equal a positive right?

Really putting the new training staff to work

He had an Achilles tear in 2018. That's like the worst possibility for a position that lives or dies on the ability to make quick cuts.

Its low risk, but seems like a waste of time. I just remember Hunter never being the same once he went down with the same injury.

Sherman says hello

Great reminder.Thanks.

Grew up in Fairfield as a 49ers fan, played at Santa Rosa JUCO before going to TCU.

If he can stay healthy this could be a huge pickup.
Sherm and Verrett gonna lock the whole field down!
Reading this quote from him made my day:

"The culture here -- the vibe here. It's the way the coaching staff is, the locker room, the facility -- everything top to bottom is a class-act organization."

I've been waiting for years for players to start saying this.

Draft us Bosa or Williams and this is starting to look like a very promising defense.

LOL appreciate the recognition
Great move. If he can stay healthy and even be 80% of what he was a few years back it's still a great signing. Sure makes me feel a little better about this FA class.

He's a local kid too. From Fairfield where i live now. Wonder if he grew up a Niner fan? At least he will feel at home being back in the Bay close to his family.

he did grow up a niner fan yes. that's what makes this signing so much better.
Garbage. Everyone pissed we signed ward yet this is a good signing. Ok

He said he was a Raiders fan.
FINALLY there is a defensive signing that i cant complain about. It took about 3 years.

He and williams could be very good slot corners.

Fairfield native Jason Verrett after being pressed about his favorite Candlestick Park memory "I was a Raiders fan growing up, so I really ain't rock with the #49ers too much," he said.
