Verrett came up with the Chargers, most recently under DC Gus Bradley — who coached those great Seahawks Cover 3 defenses. So Verrett watched Richard Sherman tape to learn.

Obviously no sure thing having played only 323 snaps over the past 3 years, but very much a player worth taking a chance on.
