Big Sherman and now Little Sherman.
Been out all day and just got in. This is just what I was thinking. ^^^
Best CB duo we have had in a long time.
How about Walt Harris and carols Rogers
If we only we could of paired a Mike Rumph in his prime with Jimmie Ward....Championship
Don't forget nasty Nate
nate clements was my first ever niner jersey.....
Man i remember that game so WELL!!!
man i pissed about that. He pulled Nate's move on himself. Nate was known for that move.
But i also remember when we got Nate, gave him a fat contract.

What's not to like? It's a low cost, one year prove it deal. If he gets hurt who cares. If he magically stays relatively healthy we have a huge steal.

This. I just don't understand the position of many on this board at times. This is the kind of low-risk signing you want. Verrett if he's healthy is an excellent complement to Sherman. It's actually sad that he is getting 3.6 million, yet Jimmy Ward is getting 5 million, and at no point in their career was Ward the equal of Verrett.

When you have the chance to get a top corner on the cheap you take it regardless of height.

I always hated that height bs, last year I was praying Denzel Ward fell to us but we might of passed him up anyways because his size

I think Kyle and John are saying screw it, we just need good players and not worry about the "size" comps. (I.e. ahkello witherspoon-look how great that has turned out)
Verrett is a great player(as long as he is healthy): see the tape of him covering AB

Sweet baby Jesus please be healthy this yr
If you wanna know what Jason Verrett is capable of, here's what the last time he faced Antonio Brown looked like. These are the guys you take risks on. pic.twitter.com/9vh1gt595R

Verrett was on the verge of becoming an elite corner when he began getting hurt over the last few years. He's shown that he can hold up in man and zone. For a shorter guy, he's shown that he can press. I believe Joe Woods who has had the opportunity to work in many different coverage schemes will add some wrinkles to our defense. Verrett if healthy gives you that extra versatility.
This was a good low cost move.
