I think we offered a multi year deal, but he opted to bet on himself, I'm glad he did, but I feel for him, it sucks.

ehh, hindsight is 20/20, no one knew in April that Verrett would tear his ACL week 1, or that Banks would be hurt all of TC.

Yup ACL How are we one of the only teams that get hammered this bad this early in the season. It's f**king ridiculous.

How do you know we're one of the only teams. I haven't seen any injury reports. There might be several. I feel for Verrett after he fought he way back and wa splaying good football. Next years draft is already shaping up. DB,DB, DB. Plus wwe lost Mostert early in the game. He just can't stay healthy.

I think after the last what? 3-4 years, so many injuries, 49ers fans start to either think or act like we're the only ones who have major injuries, I mean look at the Ravens, they lost their top 3 RBs before a game was played, J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill, & I forget the 3rd RBs name.

Also agree on Mostert, I don't see him back in 2022, 1. injury issues, and 2. he wanted to be paid like Tevin last yr, which was around $5M, so no thanks.

Running backs are a dime a dozen and they don't last long. I like Raheem but he can't be broken if he wants a check

This is rough! We need to find 2 CB. Dontae Johnson showed again today that he is a liability at that spot! DL will definitely have to find a way to disrupt the QB to help out our secondary.

They are getting held

it's being coached by anyone that plays us

Hindsight is not 20/20 when a majority of us wanted Asante Samuel Jr. at that pick.

Raheem is killer in this offense

Has Asante proven to be better than demo yet? Honest question.

I think any time you're counting on a guy with the injury history of Varrett as your #1 CB you should always invest heavily in the reserves just in case.

We might be in for a lot of shootouts this year...and it sucks because the offense looks dominate and shouldn't have to shoulder the load. But it's early so.

His career might be over. He's 30 and probably won't return to form for a couple of years.

Really terrible luck for him. and us.

Agreed, it may hard to come back from an ACL at this age. Man, I hate that for him. He did well last season and looked good today. You could clearly see he was upset about the injury.
Career is most likely done.

AB thinks this is one of the greatest draft classes of all time so picking two corners in the draft should provide plenty of help.
Me, on the other hand, hated taking the corners we did and don't think either will help much. We picked guys who provide no immediate help on a super bowl ready roster.

Did demo not play well? I didn't see him show up at all which typically means he played well.
Feel absolutely horrible for him

I thought he said a team did and he choose to stay. Tough break for his career.
