He's going to retire. This guy's body just isn't built for pro football.

Jason got an aggressive phone call from Lynch today. He's coming back

In case of emergency, broken glass?

Bingo. Pick up another CB like DJ Reed and keep JV as depth in a incase of emergency case.

I'd still like the Niners to resign Verrett on a one year prove it deal depending on how his rehab progression.

I agree signing Verrett for the minimum salary could be beneficial, if he can get healthy.

Until he gets hurt again.

True. At least in 2022 we won't be counting on him to be a starter if we bring him back. I would do it

Yeah but as long as they aren't counting on him to start, its not a problem. If he returns and plays well, he might become a starter or valuable depth.

sign him to play as long as hes healthy and playing well, but don't rely on him being option 1 or 2

Ward and Verrett on the outside (until he gets hurt) with Moseley in the slot

Ward and Verrett starting, Thomas and Mosely backing up, Lenoir and Williams in the slot. I'd still draft one more guy for the outside maybe in round 4 in anticipation of Verrett being hurt lol. But this CB room looks tons better than what we had in 2021.

If KK doesn't come back with us who plays the slot? I've seen people suggesting Mosely but I don't recall him getting many reps at nickel since he's been with us.
