If healthy, going to be same nice competition between Thomas, Verrett and Moseley for that #2 corner spot.
Agreed, but if healthy I think Verrett wins. If healthy and someone else wins (preferably Thomas), that would be HUGE for our secondary going forward.

Can't understand why people are remotely jazzed about this or have any sort of expectation.
His body is broken. This man's career is over. He's played one season out of the past 30. This signing is a complete non-factor. He's getting the Dee Ford treatment and collecting a paycheck on an exercise bike.
Seems like a nice dude and was great for that ONE season. But that was the exception, not the rule. He's 31 on busted legs that require quick stop and redirection.
I don't know why they signed other than his vet presence and out of the kindness of their hearts.
1) People are excited because he is a really good corner when he plays.
2) Everyone here knows his body is broken, Like literally every-freaking-one. Even people who poo poo on the FO are excited about this. Why? Because anything we get from the guy is a plus. If we get nothing at all, it's a vet minimum deal and we move on at little cost to us.
3) What talented player are you going to get for vet minimum?
4). This isn't anywhere near a Dee Ford deal. Dee Ford is getting paid like he's a starting, 3 down edge rusher. We could sign Verrett for like 8 years for what Dee Ford gets in one.
5). They signed him because it's low risk, high reward. They signed him because if healthy, we have 3,
possibly 4 starting corners (Ward, Verrett, Mosely, Thomas). Nobody in the league has that. Many teams don't have more than one. A healthy Verrett easily gives us our best group of corners since 2011 (Rogers, Brown, Culliver, Cox, Brock).
