I don't know why, but I have such a soft spot for this guy. I wanted him sooooo bad in the 14 draft. I hate that he's always injured but I can't help but to root for him cause I respect the comeback and the effort he puts into it year after year.

Dude could have made more money after he balled out with us but came back because we stuck with him through his struggles. It bit him in the ass because he got injured again but I respect the old school loyalty and gratitude. Not much of that anywhere. I'm a JV fan now. He is one cool dude.

Same here except I know why I have the hard on for him.

His feet/hip work when covering is pure cornerback pr0n

Legendary status if he is able to help us win the trophy. Good story for a good guy. Guy literally broke his body trying to achieve this
Is he supposed to be ready for TC?
Best case scenario is Ward and Verrett on the outside with Eman in the slot.

x2.

I am cheering hard for this guy....49ers' player or not. He had to be acutely aware of the risk, given his history, yet he chose said route anyway. Good on him. I hope, whatever transpires with the team, this guy has a solid year / future.

Yes but they will ease him in with limited reps and possibly individual drills vs team drills

This is ideal so that means we won't do that unless we are facing a team with a great slot wr like Kupp. We will instead use Dernard at nickle until we realize the better combo with Ward Moesley and Verrett
Regardless, we need to rotate all year so all the guys get reps incase anyone goes down. Hard not to like this guy tho.
hoping he gets back to his pro bowl self. what a boon that would be

If only Verrett and Ford could stay healthy, this defense would be Insane.

Every time too...Verrett right out of the gate. Ford heading into the playoffs. Richburg heading into the playoffs. Mike McGlinchey heading into the playoffs. Trent Williams heading into the playoffs. Elijah Mitchell heading into the playoffs. It's not just the injuries but to who and when.

Mother f**king This!!! Every team does NOT deal with the same injuries. Not even close.

I think we should bubble wrap Verrett until the NFCCG this year vs Tampa and then we could use him vs Buffalo if he didn't get injured in his only appearance

We won't see the real JV again until 2023 if at all. Remember how he looked when he came back versus Pittsburgh from the previous injury? It wasn't pretty
