When ball in the air is called are they trained to immediately try tolocate the ball in flight?

Again, that is entirely dependent on their position relative to the WR. Please see the Nick Saban seminar above.

If they got beat, then they're likely trailing the WR(out of phase), in which they don't look for the ball; if they're on top or even to the WR(in phase), they can look for the ball.

Our guys(sans Sherman) get beat a lot, so they spend a lot of time out of phase.

The disconnect is bad and or young corners losing position and ending up immediately in trail. When you are never in position you never have the luxury of playing the ball.

Hy dont they look forbthe ball while in the air. They have no chance for a pass defensed. And its a flag to obscure the vision of the receiver without playing the ball.

Face guarding isn't a penalty in the NFL homie
Ok with no contact. Isnt it better to play the ball when someone calls it? Seems common sense.

You still don't get it, looking back for the ball takes time and you lose a step. If you're already behind (in trail) because you were beaten you have no chance to break up the play.

If you are level with the WR (in phase) then you can look for and play the ball.
What actually is comical is that even when in phase and finally turn to play the ball, it's late and they miss it. God this entire coverage unit was brutal to watch off the line and out of phase.

Joe Woods has as much work as Ben Peterson!
I remember when RR was putting out unreal footwork videos. Dude lost that confidence quickly.

Still cant believe the Jets gave up a 5th for him. He was already trending downward and close to getting cut. Hasn't done squat except get suspended since the trade lol.

Thanks Johnny I will definitely subscribe to your channel and have my friends do as well. Your info and breakdowns are invaluable. This guy has such good technique it's ridiculous. He reminds me of a better Antoine Winfield from the Vikings and bills a while ago.

Your videos are so damn good I would only suggest playing the highlight first and then going through the breakdowns and then you can play the video again. This will keep the viewer from fast forwarding or skipping ahead until they can see the actual play. Maybe highlight the player or mark him like in yellow or blue like you do the routes or concepts. Thanks so much for all you do

Why? Maybe that # means more to Verrett than Gore. Gore only took 21 because they wouldn't let him take his Miami number.

If Frank Gore ends up being okay with it, then we should be too. It's his number. His legacy. Moreover, it's going to be retired in a year or two anyways.

Also, Jerry Rice let another player wear 80. I think we should just stay out of this one. Not our legacy.
