We only have one more turf game left.
You're right. I thought we played in New Orleans this season until I checked the schedule.

Any updates on JV ? I would love to see him get even partial reps in this next game against his old team the Chargers.

With both their top 2 receivers out, it would be a great time to ease him in too.

Kind of feel the opposite. No need to put him out there at all IMO until he's fully ready. Lenoir has it covered for now. No pun intended.

Ha nice. I could see that. I'd still work him in with Lenoir to start getting him into football shape though. Like working Brunskill back after his bad hammy. Still rotating. It gives Lenoir to sit and review the film too.
To me it isnt about the opponent i think we ease him in he hasnt layed live ball in a while give him progressively more and more snaps
Sounds like he might still need another few weeks.

From what I understand, the rotation on OL was reportedly because they like what both can do and feel like they could get both on the field while keeping them fresh like DL rotates.

With JV's injury history, coupled with the drop-off from a healthy Verrett versus all the other options, the risk doesn't seem worth it. I think he can get into game shape if they work him hard in practice to the point where he's keeping up with our receivers, who are pretty darn good in their own right.

Forget Verrett already, you just cannot depend on him staying healthy or getting healthy.

I say screw it and go out and sign Sidney Jones.

Totally get that approach too.

I think a Big thing to get him back out as well would be better at home on REAL Grass not that crap like in LA or Detriot where he reinjured himself....just would have been a bad move in my thought to have started him last week against the Rams on their crappy astro turf field.
