f**king brutal...heart breaks for JV. Everyone raves about him as a person/teammate and having to through all that rehab only to get hurt again is just awful.

I feel like several of those players are better than Ambry. Not sold on Lenoir either.
Why aren't they on a roster yet Thomas is? Not a damn good cb will be on their couch right now if they were "good" that's why I also get a kick when people say we need an olineman as if a good one is out on the street at this time. Trade deadline is gone this is the team we sink or swim with

gotta retire jason. Rooting for you the whole way but the body wont cooperate for some people. Its a brutal sport.
Add him to the list of amazing athletes who got cut down too soon. Derek rose, Tmac ect. sometimes the gods are cruel.

Without Jason Verrett re-entering the 49ers' current corner situation continues to look like this:
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) November 10, 2022
CB1: Charvarius Ward
CB2: Deommodore Lenoir
NB: Jimmie Ward
Depth: Ambry Thomas, Samuel Womack III, Dontae Johnson, Ka'Dar Hollman
Emmanuel Moseley and Verrett will both be IR

Is Josh Norman still out there?
I doubt we'll bring anyone in. We still have Ambry Thomas and Dontae Johnson as depth.

Ambry came on strong late last season, Maybe he can do it again. But he needs reps. I would just keep sending him out there aslong as he isn't getting burned on a regular basis. The thing is he doesn't even get burned, He is always right there with the receiver but can never make a play on the ball. He needs to work on getting his head turned around and attacking the football.

UNBELIEVABLE - well I guess not given his history. I don't think a team in good conscience could even ever ask him to risk playing anymore.
He clearly has passion and desire for the game to suffer through rehabs so much. Maybe Coaching is his better path?

Feel bad for the guy, wishing for his speedy recovery
Does Anyone know if does he count the whole 5 mill against the cap or does the $$ roll over ?

Poor guy man. At this point I hope he can become a coach. I guess it wasn't in the cards to have a full career..

Not sure but I looked at his injury history nd it looks like a curriculum for an orthopedic surgeon.
Torn labrum in each shoulder.
Torn ACL in each knee
Two torn achilles tendons.
Two major hamstring pulls
Thigh muscle tear
Plus several smaller injuries that only caused him to miss 1 or 2 games.
I give this guy all the credit in the world for loving the game so much that he was willing to keep going through all that rehab. I know he's getting paid but not that much. It has to be purely the desire to play that keeps him going. The only good thing about all those injuries is he didn't play that much so he'll get out of the game without brain damage.

ambry really sucks. Even on the "good" plays i would watch the replay and say they just missed a possible PI. Literally every decent stop he had. I like AJ bouye if we can get that dude.

Him and armstead were the two missing pieces for a complete team. Oh well what could have been.
