Could not believe the headlines. So sorry for the guy.

Mine didn't. A month or so back I stated here that we should have zero hope that he will come back and contribute at all. I do not think he would have been the same player and I don't think this changes much to be honest. We are still making a deep run.

Hope you're right bro.
Hopefully with the offense being at full strength(minus Trey) and having CMC they will be able to pick up some of the slack and we won't need a top 5 defense. Just a top 10 would be good enough. I was against signing Odel but I would consider it now. Just load up on the offense.

Yeah, at this point, he's totally done. Dude's body is completely shot by now.

He's had groin, hamstring, ankle ligament tears, shoulder labrum and rotator cuff tears, multiple torn ACLs, multiple torn achilles. Get into coaching or become an analyst where it's safe. His playing career is over.

Hate to see it happen to anyone, but I'm sure it's especially hard when you know if healthy he might've had a hall of fame career.

I can't imagine the frustration he is going through. Many injuries are dumb luck. JV's body is simply not built to play football. 31 years old with another major injury.
Good to see there are @ least a few here that can show a humanistic side regarding another dude's injury problems.
Was it a full season?
Just retire

This. Can't imagine how tough this must be for JV.
Unfortunately Verrett is on the wrong team to beat the odds when it comes to his injury history. We are cursed in that regard. But sad to see this happening to him.

Hard not to feel for JV. He's clearly inspirational with his perseverance. He's also just been a class act from the start. Once's he's healthy enough to be on the sidelines he's there with his teammates. He's there during practice with his teammates.

His 2020 season was really good and I never thought we would even get that after his initial injuries
Prayers up for JV, this poor guy spends all of his time trying to get back and big injuries just keep setting him back.

Gods plan
Should stop signing injury prone players
Dang just read the front page he's only had 2 full seasons and 7 seasons where he had season ending injuries.

Super sad but he's just not wired properly for this game. I wish him the best, but we have to move on and so should he.
