I feel so bad for JV. I hope he heals and recovers. I know he loves football, so I hope he finds a job in that career if that what he would like to do. It's too bad his body just won't let him be a player anymore.

Klay Thompson tore his acl and then his achilles tendon and he has been on record saying how incredibly difficult life was and how mentally taxing it was to get things back to normal.

Now imagine that someone did that all of that twice. Feel so bad for Verrett. Dude is so talented and just cant seem to catch a break.

Man, this just sucks. Feel for ya JV. So much ability. Prayers for a full recovery & the best for whatever lies ahead for you in life.

Player/Person-wise, I hope he finds a good life after football. He's tried so hard but his body just fails him.

Niner-wise, he would of been icing on the cake if he even played this season. But hopes werent high.

I saw the headline and thought I had opened an old page. Such a good person in addition to being a good player when healthy. Prayers for some comfort and peace for him.
