32 years old, 4+ ACL injuries, and 40 games played over the last decade...which means an average of 4 games per season. Maybe we are just holding off on signing him until late in the season. He already knows our scheme. But I doubt there's high demand for his services, so as long as there's a handshake agreement, we may have a defacto extra PS player that's just unofficial until it's time.

For the 49ers. Also look at the Chargers injury history during his time there. It's 4+

Which makes it worse. I'm not a fan of Kyle second guessing whether we should sign available players because one of our own busts starts playing well. We did that with uncle Sherm a couple years ago and went into the playoffs with Dontae Johnson and Josh Norman

Id rather sign him now, get him in game shape, then activate him as soon as Ambry f**ks up again….

No it's 2 ACLs his entire career. 1 complication from a ACL surgery. 2
achilles tears.
I still have blue balls. Come on down Verrett before a contender signs him please

I bet he wants roster money. If he takes practice squad $$$ wouldn't it be a lot lower?
Just signed to practice sqaud. Get this thread back to NinerTalk!

Get him ready to play opposite Ward !!!!!!!!
I dig it. Don't see how it can hurt us.

Dude had one healthy season for us, I hope if he's signed, he finds a way to contribute and stays healthy.

Not getting beat deep would be a plus too, lol.

He's better than most and opposite Mooney (if healthy) could be good. I'm guessing this is insurance especially if Mooney Ward has to sit out any time.
