It is called the off-season.

It's called coming off a major injuring and he's killing it on that treadmill. Lets see you run at that pace.

i get its video on a treadmill which means little when the bullets fly. but any bit of positive news we can get from our bad secondary. sans sherman. is good.. we never saw this stuff when bowman was hurt, and seeing this clip is better than seeing AA practicing with dips**t ping pong balls. i always try to be positive,.,.hush .. and i have always been on board big time with this signing from lynch as well as the ford trade and the mathews signing. i have warmed up to our new linebacker to

he is already a better player than ward even on a treadmill
IF he's healthy I'm excited. I don't think he'll stay healthy though.

well neither will ward but i bet the 7 games we get out of him would be better than anything we get out of ward

True and I bet he will help us win at least one or two games, that's all we really need if Jimmy is healthy the whole year to put us over the 500 Mark

I just hope he could stay healthy
Well the man has decided on the number 34. not the prettiest number for a CB. but maybe that will change upon cuts we make later in the offseason.

I feel like we're so limited on numbers now.
34 is a beautiful RB number.. whats interesting is that i havent seen anyone wear that number since I been a niners fan (1994)... 97 was brought back when Dakota Watson took it, now 34.. I wonder if 37 and 39 are next..
So they un-retiring numbers now

When was 34 retired?

i know 97 was used recently, even though i think BY deserves that number to be retired.

Like i know he wanted to use 21, but he knows that's franks number and asked his agent who said the niners want to talk to Frank Gore first about it.

Frank must have not approved on it.

But the way i look at it is, at least it's a CB wearing 21 and not another RB.

The 49ers have retired 12 numbers in franchise history. That group includes 8 (QB Steve Young), 12 (QB John Brodie), 16 (QB Joe Montana), 34 (RB Joe Perry), 37 (DB Jimmy Johnson), 39 (Hugh McElhenny), 42 (DB Ronnie Lott), 70 (DT Charlie Krueger), 73 (OT Leo Nomellini), 79 (OT Bob St. Clair), 80 (WR Jerry Rice), 87 (WR Dwight Clark).0

i think its pretty cool.. to be honest no number should be forever retired.. i mean look at Messi wearing 10, before that it was Ronadhinio, Maradona, Rivaldo.. all those players are considered best players of their generations.. in NFL that number would be retired many many times.. but the way i see it is, if someone wears that number the legacy lives on.. if no one wears 16 to honor joe montana 50 years from now people wont even know who he is..
He will probably switch to 20 if Jimmie gets cut.
