I get the apprehension but let's atleast see what some revised coaching can do first. You have Spoon and Moore, one of which has atleast flashed. The other is still young and learning the position.

Joe Woods is one of the more respected db coaches in the league. Let's see if he can unlock some potential in these guys.

This is the guy, that I'm really interested about. IF he can get healthy they might have a top 10 CB who's only 27.

This. Just get and stay healthy, Verrett. He does this and suddenly we have CBs on both sides who are flat-out excellent. And, add in an improved pass rush with the new guys and these CBs are just that much better.

Jimmy Ward didn't have injury issues as well in college.

Easy to stay healthy when a player just avoids any contact like tackling or taking on a lead blocker.

I actually think Akhello hasn't been bad in run support. It's his coverage that has been garbage.

I agree it's probably our weakest group...at some point this team has to develop some players though. We can't spent top picks and top cash on every position. They've got some young DBs (top 100 picks) and our coaching staff needs to develop them.

Hopefully the new DB coach can do something...I can't even remember the last good home grown CB we've had?

he came into the draft with a lisfranc injury, I believe.

Also my point is people get caught up in college kids having injuries and assume it will continue to happen in the pros. Even guys who didn't have a ton of college injuries can become "injury prone" and visa versa.

Ahmed Plummer? We've had a few that have one good season and then disappear

Cully was okay, he also had a monster front 7....it's about time they developed some damn CBs!

Man, neither Cully nor Plummer inspired much confidence. But that's all I can think of too. Brock had some rare moments but we gotta go back over 20 years to answer this.
what jersey # did he pick
