f**k that this guy is too good to give up on him after 2 plays. If he starts and s**ts the bed against the Browns then I'll worry

I'll be pi**ed that Moseley didn't start if the bolded happens.

Just needs to be worked back into playing. Hopefully Akhello is healthy and Verrett can play a few snaps on MNF. I hope we get a huge lead and can play him extensively so that he is up to his standards by the Rams game. With the combination of our D-line, if we have Sherman being Sherman and Verrett being 2015 Verrett, along with Akhello, the Rams offense will be in trouble.

when was the actual last time he played?

im willing to forgive him. coach pulling him was the right move at the time, however.

Same here. If Akhello misses any time they need to get Jason all the reps in his place when they return to practice.

my emotions got the best of me. the Steelers were smart in wasting no time at attacking him.

That's why I was a bit disappointed he was a healthy inactive last week @ Cincinnati..... the way that game went (obviously nobody could have predicted) it would have been great to have JV in during garbage time of the second half to get those reps he needs without impacting a close game like yesterdays. As it turns out this was his first real action in a couple years...I'm not really surprised by the result especially with no safety help... Just gotta find a way to have him contribute during not-so-crucial moments until he's back up to speed.

If they can stay healthy, this secondary is going to be really hard to throw on by the end of the year regardless of pass-rush assistance....

Sorry, that's not the way the league works, you are either one of the 46 best players on gameday or you aren't.

Emmanuel Moseley is clearly better at the moment, and I'm glad they realised in time not to cost us the game. It wouldn't surprise me if Verrett ended up on IR. Sherm needed a year removed from Achilles surgery and it looks like Verrett does as well.
It's such a long season, we are gonna need Varrett. He got beat coming in the game cold. End of story it's not the end of a career, not the end of a season. He's gonna compete with Moosley over the bye week. May the best man win.

I think they would put Moseley in quick if it happens, just like they did yesterday. They gonna battle for the job anyway and hopefully one of them wins by FAR

I don't see that happening. If either Hurd or Coleman, or both, come back after the bye, that will leave room on the inactive for Witherspoon and Verrett, if he still needs time.

I see Wood working closely with Verrett over the break and getting him game ready by Cleveland. If not, Moseley has been "high average" on the 45 snaps he has played. Think Rashaun Melvin/Kendall Fuller-level right now.

Not on the 49ers. Second chances if you're recovering from injury and third chances if you went to Stanford.

Why would he go on IR? I mean he was healthy enough to play, he got beat.

he just hasn't played real meaningful football in like 2 yrs. he's gotta get some confidence back and get some reps.

They got an extra week to figure stuff out so that's good.
I forgive you Verrett. now make me a believer.
Kyle has already said Moseley was next man up. Varret still needs time to get his self right apparently.

He said he was in the lead and that things would be decided in practice leading up to the game.
