But only one first. Two firsts is excessive

Same trade the Steelers did with dolphins sounds good to me

A solidly established high-quality player is worth more than a single 1st. How much more depends on need.

Drafting, even at the top of the draft, is still somewhat of a crap shoot. Hence, a 1st round pick has less value than a player that has established himself as having that value, if that makes sense.

IMO, given his performance history, Ramsey is worth more than a single 1st. Minkah does not yet have that same cred and would be worth less. Again, it is up to the market. In the case of the 49ers, with so much young talent soon to be up for a second contract, taking on Ramsey's salary doesn't make sense.

Yeah, I agree. The issue isn't so much with the trade comp, but with the contract that will come with it.

Several studs coming up for renewal in the next 1-2 years. Buckner, Kittle, Witherspoon, Breida, Armstead, Warner, Sherman, McGlinchey, Juice.... who don't we keep to take on Ramsey? It'll need to be more than two, that's for sure.

Why would it be more than two Ramsey still has two years on his deal by that time Sherman's contract will be ending and they can move on from him. Armstead will more than likely be gone and the salary cap goes up every year. The Dallas's and Philadelphia's do it every year and they seem to be doing just fine
time for Verrett to man up
Lets hope the storm is over and he shake back.

Xavien Howard just set the price for a top-end CB at $15million/yr. When Ramsey's contract is up, that number will go up along with the cap number. So, do the math.

Ramsey will obviously be above that and require a $75M guarantee.

IF this is the real, sustainable Witherspoon... he will get something similar in 1-2 years.
So Lynch say's JV came out of the game a little nicked up.
Are you kidding me wasn't the guy in there for like 2 plays.🙄

Right. And the only play that he touched anyone was when he tackled the WR for a PI. Maybe the WR's cleat scraped his chin.
I just hope his next outing is better than this one...way better and not in a serious play situation.

Hope this dude proves me wrong but I have zero expectation of him being good. Coming in and getting burned two shots in a row then getting yanked just doesnt inspire confidence. Even if he plays better I still see him being the defense's main weak link.
I would feel a lot better if we start Verrett over Moseley
