The worst part about it is we will never know with certainty if he could regain his form. That was the whole reason we brought him in.

I'd rather him play and suck for a meaningful period than not play at all and never know.

damn. Verrett so injured he can take advice from Ward on how to stay healthy.
I'm reading that both Verrett & Hurd are designated to return after 8 weeks. I thought you can only designate 2 to return from IR? I remember them designating Street to return earlier in the year.
Lol wtf

Sources: #49ers are signing CB Dontae Johnson. I can only assume this has something to do with Jason Verrett, who tweaked his problematic left knee in Week 3 against Pittsburgh.

The way I understand it is, there's not necessarily a limit on the "pool" of players you can potentially return, but my guess is that it's just once two have returned, then you're done.

I knew that verrett was gave up by 2 snaps against the Stoolers. I already noticed him because he looks likes an injury his knee or legs. He was slow running that clear it. I realized him was injury. I hope he is stay healthy full anytime.

Any player who made the initial 53 man roster can be designated to return from IR...IF THEY ARE PLACED ON IR AFTER OPENING DAY

The team can have an infinite amount of players on IR. However, they can only select two to return.

This is why McKinnon cannot come back this year, and players like Hurd and Taylor can.
Just cut this loser. No sense in keeping him on this team.he is not reliable.

He's on IR and on a 1 year deal. What possible benefit would that provide?

There you go. I didn't know exactly how to phrase it -- but you got it.
How did this dude get so badly injured in two plays that they had to IR him and resign Dontae Johnson of all people.

Come on man, have some sympathy and respect for him. He was an elite db before injury. Now he's injured and may not play again in the nfl.

We gave it a chance and it is what it is. I'm not surprised. He did not look like an NFL corner in his 2 plays for us. Sometimes a guy just cant make it back.
