He's become a fairly crisp route runner. Ability to create separation through precision and uses his size well.

I haven't followed him for a while. Is he a Z here or a bigger slot WR here? Both?

Big split end type. replaces Garcon. Now draft his competition in round 2..

This. Deebo Samuel, AJ Brown, Emanuel Hall, Andy Isabella, Riley Ridley.

Not just Matthews, but I think all the receivers need competition. Kendrick Bourne was alright but did nothing to get excited about.

YEP YEP!!!!
This guy was awesome for my fantasy team a couple years back, but then fell off the block. Hopefully he can be solid for us

No he's not. Has played roughly 65-70% of his career snaps from the slot. That is where you want him at to get the most out of him.

I know Chip used him in the slot a lot. PHI used him on the outside last season quite often. I'm watching his catches from 2018. I think he is Bourne's competition for a roster spot.

this was a weak wide out class this year and while i was leaning to jordy. only because of his name, i will have a open mind on this guy. love the size which i think we need. i still think we take a nice wide out with the 2 or 3 pick.. i hope this guy will be what i thought jon baldwin was going to be for us. maybe kyle did realize, that maybe we need a bigger guy out there

If he's on the field with Pettis and Goodwin I think he'll most likely be in the slot.
Probably won't make much of an impact here.

Will likely make the team because of lack better options.
Matthews mainly played in the slot right? You guys think that will be his primary role or do you guys see him being used on the outside also?

Agreed. Welker could help him resurrect his career.

Most his tds were in the redzone. Boom! With Coleman, Pettis the way he played at the end of season, Goodwin, kittle, Mathews, and either a step up from the roster, or a draft pick. Wr's got better.

Ps. He played bad with the bills lol. Everyone did. First year solid, and with eagles later solid

Buffalo and Philly the first time used him primarily in the slot. I haven't looked yet at how he was used by the Iggles last season.

Would love to see Welker working with Andy Isabella!!

With Shanahan? Probably both. He'll find a way to utilize him. The hands are a concern.

Damn I was hoping for Chris Conley. I wanted Jordan Matthews outta the draft, so I kinda like the signing.

I am STILL hoping for Conley too! We need more speed, and he has it. I don't think he will be an expensive signing either.

Wasn't Cris Connally like the fourth string WR in KC though?
