I think he's a hell of a lot better than AJ Jenkins. Man if that dude just caught one pass in the super bowl, that would have been the difference - in my opinion, between winning and losing.

Agreed. There were better options.

dude is ass.

Hope he proves me wrong. That game he played a couple of weeks back with Philly, dude looked horrible out there.
If given an opportunity, hopefully he doesn't do anything stupid like drop wide open passes or fumble

He was a plug in play there. He actually has worked with Jimmy and the playbook here. And he won't see the field unless it's a dire situation.

Such as.....
I personally believe that he was cut because Shanny favored Bourne and Good.

They did....and cut him after he kept dropping passes. I would rather have seen them pick up some young WR off a practice squad but this late in the season you'll want someone who at least knows the offense. Oh well.

True.

But JG does like that catching radius from the slot and he does know the offense. And he's healthy with fresh legs...give you more than Pettis/Goodwin at this stage.

Someone should have grabbed #81 just to make a quick buck.
I would't put too much thought into a 6th receiver. They needed a warm body, and preferably a warm body who know wouldn't have to learn Shanahan's playbook from scratch...he fits that bill. If he gets any more than a handful of snaps per game, it's because something way more problematic has happened to the guys ahead of him.
