Nice projection, but where's Dwelley???? I think he'll end up #2 TE.

#2 TE in our offense is a blocking TE (think Celek). Toilolo might be the best in the game. Your 3rd TE is either a pass catcher (backup for Kittle) or has FB attributes (backup for Juice).

That's Hurd. If not and Hurd is moved to Z, you need to cut Bourne for Dwelley. That's possible.

IMHO of course.

Them elite starters, that quality depth! This unit is unreal.

I think they may keep 7 although I like the 6 you selected.

Only 5 active on game days unless Kyle has some special packages for that #6.

Exactly
If Pettis, Deebo, Goodwin and Taylor are the locks and Hurd makes the active list for flexibility, even the sixth guy is not going to play.

James - offers ST electricity but did not impress last year when he had a chance as a receiver.
Bourne - offers so quality deep in the ranks and can still improve.
Matthews - offers size they don't have and has shown he can do it in the NFL, but nobody was really after him as a FA. plus, does he want to be buried on the charts?

Yup...and make sense from the skill sets typically required of the X, Y, Z.

One goes down...

Why are you so hot on LaRoy Reynolds? I can't see the 49ers cutting Nzeocha, they would have wasted money IMO.

Also some of those guys you have like Reynolds, Day, Johnson would have their salaries GTD, meaning if cut we save zero.

Also doubt Street gets cut for Moore, who would be on the street IMO.

I like Kaden Smith or Ross Dwelley as the 3rd TE, I don't see 7 WRs as feasible.

I think whatever 53 players left are gonna be on the 53 man roster.

I doubt Ben Garland gets cut, he has $520K GTD out of his $805K base salary, plus he knows the system, and plays C, LG, and RG.

Remember...schemes have changed. Much more emphasis and expansion on the slot position too now.

We're 7th most cap space right now and eating a little money for cutting lower end 53's or guaranteeing other salaries won't be an issue. Day is a starter now. Reynolds and Johnson are veteran depth.

Yeah we'll see on Nzeocha. LaRoy is a real off ball veteran LB. Nzeocha is a SAM from our old scheme and good ST player who probably wouldn't be active.

Way to many options inside after moving to W9. Someone has to go unfortunately. Saleh really seems to like Taylor. Good battle. Again, with W9, you need two ER's. Blair isn't a pure ER but will be in that group. Moore is literally, the only other one we have. We're already seeing health issues with Bosa and Ford...hence why Moore was brought back.

Kaden has done squat. Dwelley is good but Kyle has never used the 2nd TE as a pass catcher. He's the run blocker. Toilolo. One way to keep both Bourne and James is to label Hurd as the #3 TE. The F receiver. Just thinking outside the box on this one.
