First round is the day after everyone finishes their 3rd preseason game. Not sure when that is exactly. Then you have to cut all the way down after the last game.

thanks!

I have no clue what we're gonna do still. Things always get hazier after the 2nd pre-season game. Still need 2 more to see. So this is what I'm going with now:

QB: (2) Garoppolo, Mullens
HB: (4) Breida, Coleman, McKinnon, Mostert
FB: (1) Juice
TE: (3) Kittle, Dwelley, Smith (Toilolo if he's healthy)
WR: (6) Pettis, Samuel, Taylor, Goodwin, Hurd, James
OL: (8) Staley, Tomlinson, Person, McGlinchey, Young, Garnett, Richburg, Johnson
DL: (10) Ford, Buckner, Bosa, Armstead, Thomas, Givens, Street, Taylor, Blair, Jones
LB: (6) Warner, Alexander, Greenlaw, Smith, Nzeocha, Mayo
DB: (10) Sherman, Witherspoon, Verrett, Williams, Reed, Moseley, Moore, Tartt, Exum, Ward
K: (1) Gould
P: (1) Wishnowsky
LS: (1) Holba

IR: S.Coleman (ankle), Colbert (hamstring), D.Moore (thumb), Celek (back, head)

Notes:
1. I like Bourne, I really do. But.. simply put, James is too valuable to let go of due to his reliability and effectiveness on kick and punt returns. I can't be the only one here terrified watching Pettis struggle to track punts in the air. I think we will trade Bourne for anything we can possibly get for him. Since he can't return kicks, his value is in the fact that he can play all WR spots, but so can Pettis, Hurd, and Deebo. Unless we find a way to keep 7, I just don't see Bourne or Matthews making it.

2. At safety, if we're only going with 4, then all four need to be able to play both safety spots. I like Marcell Harris, but he can't. Can we sneak him onto the PS if cut? Unlikely. Another potential trade candidate, in my opinion.

3. I know we guaranteed money to Garland, but he's been horrendous not only in practice, per reports, but also in games. If he can't do the job -- why keep him around? It's limited action we've seen, but it's been almost all negative. Not only has Wesley Johnson been the better player, he can play every spot on the line, including tackle. Garland can't. Garnett also had snaps at C a few times last season as well as earlier this off-season, so I just don't see Garland offering anything we don't already have with the other guys.

4. Players I see being stashed for a potential add-back later: DE Damontre Moore (dislocated thumb is a 6-8 week injury) and S Colbert.

really hope matthews doesn't make it after that last showing

Agreed. Also to answer your question on cut-downs. I believe it's August 31 is the final cut date. The NFL eliminated the 75-man cut down in recent years, so there is only one cut date -- the 90 to 53 deadline. I would sincerely like us to look for trade partners for OL help. Dangle ANY of the following guys who would not be much of a loss if they left, please:

DL Day, DL Givens, WR Bourne, QB Beathard, S Harris

Basically extra camp fodder to see if any are worth a PS spot.

And same exact players we've had here already and cut. Nothing to see here.

Huh, didn't know they ditched first cuts.
We better stash Moore (de) on IR He's too valuable as a pass rusher

Is lauderdale good on the OL? Why don't we sign an experienced center like John o Sullivan from the rams last year? Richburg is a huge injury question mark

To follow up, all waiver claims of those cut on the 31st have to be submitted by Sept 1. 12 PDT? Pretty early I recall.
My last post is wrong.

Cutdown to 53: by 1 PM PDT Aug. 31
Waiver claims: by 9 AM PDT Sept. 1

Moore just jammed his finger. Is he going to be out for a while?

No, we've already signed-cut him like 5 times. LOL

Because Sullivan costs money. #Pray4Jimmy

Why do you have DJ Jones on IR, did he get hurt?

You're missing Solomon Thomas, also Shon Coleman is on IR, not PUP.

Same here, they better not cut Mullens or trade him to keep Beathard, he's horrible.

He was the highest rated offensive lineman. Played a great game.

If there are two or more equally bad OLinemen, I'd hope ShanaLynch chooses the younger one to make the team. Toran, Skule, and Reynolds all are pretty young and if they are equal in talent to some of the older ones, why not go younger?

Huh, didn't know they ditched first cuts.

Yeah, as of 2017. Also, side note, modified my final roster again. Apparently Damontre Moore is practicing despite dislocating his thumb. It must not have been major enough, no ligament damage or fractures (incredibly lucky if so). If healthy enough, seems like he actually has a chance to make this team now.

QB: (2) Garoppolo, Mullens
HB: (4) Breida, Coleman, McKinnon, Mostert
FB: (1) Juice
TE: (3) Kittle, Dwelley, Toilolo
WR: (6) Pettis, Samuel, Taylor, Goodwin, Hurd, James
OL: (8) Staley, Tomlinson, Person, McGlinchey, Young, Garnett, Richburg, Johnson

DB: (10) Sherman, Witherspoon, Verrett, Williams, Reed, Moseley, Moore, Tartt, Exum, Ward
K: (1) Gould
P: (1) Wishnowsky
LS: (1) Holba

IR: S.Coleman (ankle), Colbert (hamstring), Celek (back, head), Lee (thumb)

Week 1 Inactives: RB McKinnon, WR Taylor, OL Garnett, DL D.Moore, DL Bosa, LB Nzeocha, CB K.Williams

One of the beat writers said we could stash him on injured reserve but I doubt that will happen. If it comes down to cutting him or stashing him I would say stash him on injured reserve because he is pretty damn valuable in my opinion.

The center is worth the money in my opinion because he actually has a decent level of play.

Yes we've seen enough of Beathard
