Green is a FA at the end of the season, and the Bengals are rebuilding, so a player like AA+ a draft pick might make sense to them. For us, it would clear out our D-line log jam (assuming we draft Bosa) and give us a true #1 WR to pair with Pettis+Goodwin. Also we wouldn't be taking on much salary because AA is a 9+ million cap hit. AJ Green would only have a cap hit of just over 12 million for us, so only adding 3 million in payroll in this deal. How ever, if we got him, I would try to get him locked in for like 2 more years.
This would be ideal

Rams lost some guys and should have some Super Bowl loser handicap...
Seattle has overachieved last year and hadn't made huge upgrade on his roster yet...
And I would be shock if Arizona beat us twice next year...
So we may not be in the class New Orleans and be serious Super Bowl contender but I think the odds of winning the nfc west are pretty good don't you think?
Barring injury bug that could derail every team season what are our weakness on paper that will prevent us to be dominant?
Despite the homer in me, barring our curse (injury bug) and guessing that FO won't screw up this draft...
Sweep Lambs. Sweeps cawks. Sweep Tards. Make it past first round of playoffs. Naysayers will weep.

Maybe Ward stays healthy and does good in camp/preseason...if it's not too late by then, give them AA, Ward and a 6th

Updated the OP with the new additions/draftees. Man, it's gonna be real tough to predict who the final 53 will be.

Not sure they decide to go with 2 QB only.
Then 7 WR is probably a bit too much.
And Greenlaw isn't a Sam, more a will I suppose.

I 'd like to ask if some members like one the clock, maddog or anyone who feels capable could evaluate the current roster a bit like ratings on Madden with grade on players and how they value each unit?
It would fun to have different view on this.

Bourne vs Taylor vs James, I think James wins
Mullens vs CJ, Mullens wins
Ross vs Magnuson, Ross wins
I think Skule and Coleman make the team
Any trade value for Bourne, Taylor, CJ or Magnuson ?

OL - Need another OT of the future and interior depth to help prevent interior pressure and win more goal line/short yardage situations.
You are so right OTC....no depth at all at OT, MLB, and SAM...and questionable starters at several positions. What is frustrating is that the draft is now over so the only avenue now for picking up players is when they get cut. Pretty risky strategy.

These two units in particular look awfully thin after the starters... I really can't understand how the FO could feel confident going into the season with these backups.
Cheers

Not worried about depth because at cut time there will be a lot of talent floating around.
The biggest issue is the Safety spots.
Both of the starters are injury prone and the depth isn't any better.
Maybe time to explore trading one of the DE/DT for a decent safety.

Colbert, Tartt, Exum, and Ward can play either safety spot. Colbert has the best range of the bunch. Most of our safeties can play interchangably. Harris is a pure SS though, and if you ask me, Harris should start at SS if he shows improvement on the flashes he displayed last season. Let the rest duke it out between either spot and let the best two start. In a nutshell this is how I see it:
Tartt is a solid starter with good range and heavy hitting ability when healthy, but he's rarely been healthy.
Marcell Harris and Adrian Colbert both have starter traits and potential, instincts are their strength but discipline is their weakness.
Ward is a good backup. He's just not a starting caliber player in my opinion, nor is durable enough to be that guy. Let him backup both spots and play special teams.

This looks right to me. Inactive? Mostert, Taylor, Skule and Day, Blair, Greenlaw, Williams.
