No Toilolo?

Look up top, I haven't updated since 5/8 lol. I'll post a new prediction soon. Also, interestingly I read Greenlaw has been playing both MIKE and SAM in OTA's?
53-Man Projection Roster

Base Only/Likely 'Starter' --- Depth --- Rookie

Offensive Personnel: --- 24
QB: Jimmy Garoppolo; Nick Mullens
RB: Matt Breida; Tevin Coleman & Raheem Mostert [Jerick McKinnon]
FB: Kyle Juszczyk
TE: George Kittle; Levine Toilolo
XWR: Dante Pettis; Marquise Goodwin
SWR: Trent Taylor; Jordan Matthews
ZWR: Deebo Samuel; Jalen Hurd
LT: Joe Staley; Shon Coleman
LG: Laken Tomlinson; Wesley Johnson
C: Ben Garland; [Weston Richburg]
RG: Mike Person; Ross Reynolds
RT: Mike McGlinchey

Defensive Personnel: --- 26
5T/W9: Nick Bosa; Arik Armstead
1T/4i: D.J. Jones; Solomon Thomas
3T/4i: DeForest Buckner; Kentavius Street
W9: Dee Ford; Ronald Blair
SAM: LaRoy Reynolds; Dre Greenlaw & Mark Nzeocha
MIKE: Fred Warner; David Mayo
WILL: Elijah Lee; [Kwon Alexander]
RCB: Ahkello Witherspoon; [Jason Verrett]
SCB: K'Waun Williams; [D.J. Reed]
LCB: Richard Sherman; Tarvarius Moore
FS: Adrian Colbert; Antone Exum [Jimmie Ward]
SS: Jaquiski Tartt; Marcell Harris

Special Teams: --- 3
LS: Colin Holba [Kyle Nelson]
PK: Robbie Gould
P: Mitch Wishnowsky

Notes:
--- The third TE is now covered by both Hurd and Juszczyk when/if needed and Kaden Smith will be in reserves on the P.S.
--- A few players will 'count' on the 53 roster with known injuries that will mostly be used after the bye-week. Counting them now means they don't go on the IR list with a designation for return much later in the season. They'll just be inactive on game days for a while.
--- With the wide-9 scheme, the traditional 1T/NT and 3T is replaced by two 4i's. In addition, the SAM LB now plays a role similar to both the MIKE and WILL. This is a regular starter now

not bad, but i won't rule out the injured players just yet, Ward could go on pup if needed.

I've never watched Reynolds, the LB, what would he bring over malcolm smith?

Too true. The [injured] guys are just place holders now until we can get a better gauge on their health and return expectations through TC. Some may be just fine and return to their starting roles before the season.

Health (veteran experience). Greenlaw should have a license there as well. In fact, I heard he was already 'starting' there as M.Smith continues to nurse his vagina annually and milk our cap space Jimmie Ward-style.
As for OTC's projection, i'd rather keep Tim Harris with ward on pup. also hate to see Kaden Smith waived, I just have a hard time seeing him clearing waivers. Hope i'm wrong.

I get that one too. But Hurd was brought in to be able to play multiple positions and roles. Kyle could keep K.Smith but is he going to give you more than Toilolo, Hurd, Matthews and Taylor who will be running mostly from the slot not to mention Deebo and Pettis also. The only way a 3rd TE will be active on game days now is if he is a stellar run blocker and right now I'm not so sure he is. Kyle could go 3 RB's here with one as a destination for return (McKinnon)?

I know some don't like our LBs, but I do, Warner and Kwon can play MIKE and WILL, Greenlaw looks like he can play SAM, MIKE and WILL, same for Smith, and Nzeocha. Lee MIKE and WILL, Mayo will be a key ST'er, kinda like Blake Costanzo days.

I think Jet will be ready for opening day, but that's me, still a while left until opening day. Doubt he starts the season on PUP, Kyle said he can see Jimmy and Jet playing some in preseason, which I'm hoping isn't the case.

It's going to be interesting where the Tight Ends and Safety positions pan out during the offseason. Hopefully we go younger vs keeping veterans even if the veterans are a little bit more talented than the younger players.

I personally rather keep Toilolo and Smith at TE, and go youth or vet FA at S over Ward on PUP with Tim Harris on the 53. But that's me. Toilolo is one of the best blocking TEs in the NFL, he should make it.

On Garland, I said it in the team needs thread, he can play all 3 Interior line spots, and even DT, so he is the backup C IMO, plus with most of his base salary GTD($520k of $805k), that makes him a lock right now.
If that is true on Garland, Mags is expendable. I thought it was his versatility that gave him a spot last year, even though he had the botched snap at center.

FYI: Mags is another one of the injured players right now. I don't know what it is though.

I think it's clear that magnuson is expendable, those things are 110% true, Garland has $520K GTD, and he plays all interior spots, and he'll be the active backup on gamedays with Richburg, Staley, McGlinchey, Coleman, Tomlinson, and Person.
