that was my freshman year of college in LA and I couldn't find anywhere to watch it. Saw a clip during the game we had on that showed the disaster that was unfolding. The rest of the season (and the next) were awesome

Anything else than a 1-0 start will be huge disappointment and I don't care if it's a 10 am start. You have all off season to prepare for an average to below average team

we have a history even under kyle of not being ready to play those early games. this has been a area that should concern fans since jh left. inability to be ready to play games overall.
Ok bud
sorry, those are facts, not ready to play a game is soley on the coach
Yah because our team has been so good the past years
when a team is not ready to play a game. that is on the coaches, both sides of the ball. our coaches need to get better in that area, plus i am not sure what players does the rally talk like willis used to. i guess sherman

Let's set an example and just fire him before the season starts
please point it out where i said kyle should be fired. i will wait

It's inevitable. This is the one time of year right before the draft that people like to be optimistic with the whole unknown of everything. Constantly being negative is just a huge kick in the nuts.

we are just different. no matter the talent or the health, i think its important for a team to be ready to play the game and not allow a team to get out early . i am glad to see some changes in coaches but the real problem in the dc is still here and his play soft prevent d crap was directly responsible for losing winnable games. the packers game comes front and center

Damn. Thanks for that retrospect. I can clearly remember that afternoon Got a KO by the up and coming Bucs

I'll do you one even better......

After we went on an 11 game terror in which even Jim Drukenmiller won while receiving a helmet-less Head butt from an already injured Kevin Greene, I was so filled with hype I bought tickets to the KC game 2 rows up from behind the 49ers bench, surrounded by Chiefs fans, we went on to lose that game 44-9 and my ears rang with the chant of...."we're gonna beat the hell outta you, you, you YOU"!!! for the fallowing 3 days....lol

There was great moments that year though, the Merton Hanks pick 6 vs Denver on MNF was one for sure, the same night Eddie retired Joe's #16 at halftime, while the crowd at the stick yelled "EDDIE, EDDIE, EDDIE".... these were the days when we still had Dynasty status long before the top 5 draft pick status of today, lol

That whole Denver game was legendary. Rice came back from the ACL and caught a touchdown (albeit hurting the knee again...), Hanks with the INT, Greene wreaked havoc, Romanowski spit on Stokes, and they retired Joe's number. Truly insane evening.

I don't even think it's comparable. Kyle is fine for at least 2 more seasons imo. John will get fired if we fall on our face again.

Darn.... so we have to start with 2 road games, then play Steelers in first home game... Hopefully that 2nd road game is not a difficult one.
We will beat Pitts
