I think it's from Michael Jordan when he did it. MJ was hitting every shot in this one playoff game and did that shrug while going down the court.

In all seriousness though, given his deadpan sense of humor... the shoulder shrug really does fit him as a celebration.

You can see it early on, say 2nd step, Nick is already engaged with kolton Miller, has extended his body down low and is elevating Miller. Next step he gets miller vertical, then tips him past vertical, another bull step and Miller is heading backwards toward Stidham. Note that Nick doesn't push Miller into QB, he launches him . This was the game right here.
