Some derp gave Quinnen Williams a 1st place vote. Probably the Jets writer. Just plain dumb.

Great job well deserved.
Pay the man
Do you think Nick would agree to a contract similar to his brothers? He said he didn't need to set the market, and this contract would still be nice compensation. The bros seem competitive so maybe give Nick a little bump, but something similar would be fair.

Joey Bosa signed a 5 year, $135,000,000 contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, including a $35,000,000 signing bonus, $102,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $27,000,000. In 2023, Bosa will earn a base salary of $24,000,000, while carrying a cap hit of $31,000,000 and a dead cap value of $38,000,000

NFLPA will want him to set the market.
And that is how you put a bow on a contract year.

Yeah you can fluff it up with fake totals, much like the Adams/Hill contract. As long as the headline say "highest paid defensive player" that's all the NFLPA will care about.
