This is me Brodie, waiting for news on a Nick Bosa extension. Kinda like last year with Deebo, I figure late July will be when it happens, before TC.

You think he'll be signed before TC? Oh wow. I'd expect him to sign at the very end at best; maybe even spill over into the season with his agents.

I think, with the way Nick is, it'll get done, he'll just tell his agents to get it done now, he'll be there for camp, he won't holdout, he'll work on the sideline till pads come on, then the deal is done by then like Deebo. My hope is July 25th is the day which is when they report for camp. Plus Nick said he isn't worried about the deal, I'm inclined to believe him, the guy has this laid back demeanor and he wants it done, he may even be there at beginning of Practices. I don't see an issue like with Joey Bosa holding out, Nick seems way more chill.

Ok, for fun, predict Bosa's extension numbers.

APY- $35M
Total Guaranteed- $110M
Fully Guaranteed- $82M
Signing Bonus- $35M
2nd Year Option Bonus- $15.125M

Now Go lol

Honestly, that looks absolutely spot on to me.

That would be awesome! I sure hope you're right!
We need regular season Bosa to show up in the Post-Season.

Do you guys think he wore down at the end of the season (playoffs), or do you guys think teams figured out how to deal with him at the end of the season (playoffs)? Either way, we won't win a super bowl if he doesn't have post season success.

Teams went all out blocking him since we had no other consistent pass rusher once Ebukam was hurt. Probably why we went after Hargrove. Offenses can no longer sellout on Bosa.

I think he has worn down. Last season was about getting the bag. This season should be about pacing for the playoffs.

He was great in the 2019 and 2021 playoffs. He had 8 sacks in 6 games prior to the 2022 season.
When he gets the richest contract for Defense in NFL history what will that number look like? Will he be cheaper this year and then have a lot of money on the back end? Where will we stand salary cap wise this year? Can we fit Aiyuk into future plans with the Bosa contract? Where's AB?

We'll likely end up around $14M-$16M under when the season begins, depending on the final 53 + PS Players, and any injured players. Yes we can fit BA in 2024 and beyond, very confident that BA will be extended next offseason.

You leave Greg out of this!
Really hope this deal is done by camp, https://www.49erswebzone.com/articles/169850-49ers-insider-shares-thoughts-more-difficult-contract-situation/

Not worried it won't get done, if I'm Nick, I don't step onto the field till I get a new deal, not saying playing, I wouldn't holdout, that's not Nick, more he'll just not step on the practice field, and I don't blame him, he's about to become the highest paid non QB.

He should've been Superbowl mvp.

As for the games this past season, he absolutely showed up. Caused a lot of trouble for Seahawks and cowboys

This a joke right? Dude was 21st in career playoff sack totals after 4 years in the NFL, the one season he got hurt early team didn't make the post season.

Just cuz this past season he didn't record a sack doesn't mean he was figured out or needs to play differently.

Sometimes other guys make the plays, sometimes the other guys don't make enough to free him up. He'll be perfectly fine, especially if Hargrave and Armstead are doing what they can in the middle.
