Before the season for sure, I think it happens by the 25th, maybe a little after. These deals aren't simple, the team likely wants a very very team friendly deal, Bosa probably doesn't care, his agents do, ultimately Bosa will have to tell his agents, Ala Deebo last year, to just get it done.

Highsmith with the Steelers just signed a $27.7M average over four years.
Bosa's should be coming anytime now. I've always thought it would be announced as he got to camp. Hopefully this doesn't drag into it - pay the man, he more than deserves it.

I think $27.7 is the gtd in his deal. I am reading 4 yrs 68 million. If Highsmith is a near $30m annual avg player; we are in trouble.

Oh haha maybe I read that wrong and i didn't do the math. Hahaha my bad. I was kinda surprised cause I thought that was a lot for someone I didn't know much about.
i think bosa will get a $32-$33M average. Curious how it's structure, especially signing bonus

"...With high-profile extensions, the 49ers have made a habit of signing them right around the start of training camp, which gets going next week when veterans and the coaching staff join the rookies in reporting to the facility...."
Extensions in the consecutive years: Kittle, Warner, and Deebo.

And next year we're gonna go thru this again with Aiyuk & Hufanga IMO.

I'm not worried about Bosa. It will get done.
Aiyuk next year is a different story. As of today, I'm not sure the team and the player see eye to eye on value. We will see how it looks at the end of the season.
I like Huf but I'm not as high on him as many.

To me the big question is can we keep churning out WRs. KS knows the position, and we have homegrown Deebo, BA, JJ, with DG in the pipeline, along with Bell. So maybe flip Deebo or BA out at some point, keep developing, save the cap space and get draft assets. Deebo admittedly didn't really play great last season. He was inconsistent.

If Brock can stay healthy, I think deebo & Aiyuk will have 1k+ years. I think kittle will be close and I think another 600 or so for CMC.
im expecting a big yesr offense wise, just need Brock healthy.
im not worried about Bosa, i think it'll be announced right as he gets to camp. It's too important of a contract and bosa is instrumental to what we do, it's not like we have much leverage with him. Hahaha if there are any sticking points, it'll just be structure. I anticipate he will get a FAT signing bonus to help spread his salary out over the years.

I remember not too many years back Kyle's ability to develop receivers was really questioned. I think the answer to the question really lies in what receivers not named Deebo, Aiyuk, or Jennings do. I hope we can.

Kyle's skill is to get the most out of what a receiver can give. See Samuel, Deebo. That's not necessarily the same thing as developing receivers. Not sure Kyle's staff spends a lot of time working on receiver's weak points and less evidence that kyle will call those plays in a game.
Isn't this the Bosa thread?

It is a Bosa thread, but some ppl are worried we won't be able to retain BA, but I demonstrated it on my site that 2024 isn't bad as ppl think it is, and we'll be just fine.
