Aiyuk next year is a different story. As of today, I'm not sure the team and the player see eye to eye on value. We will see how it looks at the end of the season.
I like Huf but I'm not as high on him as many.

To me the big question is can we keep churning out WRs. KS knows the position, and we have homegrown Deebo, BA, JJ, with DG in the pipeline, along with Bell. So maybe flip Deebo or BA out at some point, keep developing, save the cap space and get draft assets. Deebo admittedly didn't really play great last season. He was inconsistent.

I remember not too many years back Kyle's ability to develop receivers was really questioned. I think the answer to the question really lies in what receivers not named Deebo, Aiyuk, or Jennings do. I hope we can.

Kyle's skill is to get the most out of what a receiver can give. See Samuel, Deebo. That's not necessarily the same thing as developing receivers. Not sure Kyle's staff spends a lot of time working on receiver's weak points and less evidence that kyle will call those plays in a game.

Isn't this the Bosa thread?

It is a Bosa thread, but some ppl are worried we won't be able to retain BA, but I demonstrated it on my site that 2024 isn't bad as ppl think it is, and we'll be just fine.

With purdy at qb, I'd prefer BA if I had to keep one.

Can you get on the horn to the yorks and speed things up? You have some clout here. I can kick in a few bucks for the signing bonus. I've got $76.50. It's the end of the month.. Anything from you?
Tick tock...

Yeah I spoke to AB about this earlier in the off season, he made me feel much better about the situation. Just have to restructure a handful of contracts but all guys who we plan on keeping around.

i think he mentioned guys like Warner, Mooney Ward, Armstead, Kittle. Etc I believe he also said CMC but I think we just restructured his

Basically just restructure the guys you feel are long term fits, or guys you view as long term core players, that's why we redid CMC, Mooney, & Warner.

As for 2024, I'd expect them to extend Dre, Mooney, & Armstead, saves $27.688M, redo Deebo Samuel, saves over $15.6M, all in all, over $40M saved, check this article out https://49erscap.com/index.php/2023/07/21/explaining-why-the-49ers-2024-salary-cap-situation-isnt-as-bad-as-some-make-it-out-to-be/ I explain why 2024 isn't as bad as some make it out to be.

I prefer both BA & Deebo lol, I'm greedy, but I told a friend when I was in Cali in 2021 for the home opener, that we'd re-sign both, so far we've re-signed Deebo, now just have to right next year about BA.

Wish I could, no one is talking, I've tried to get some info, but nope, I'm guessing beginning of camp, or when pads come on, I can see him doing his own thing on the side like Deebo did, or practice, but If I'm his agents, I don't practice till I have the deal signed, that's why I'm thinking the 25th or 26th, not sure which day is the first days for workouts.

It seems to be a trend with us to sign those big time extensions as we get to camp, so that's what I'm expecting.

what kind of signing bonus do you think he'll get and how long of a contract? I'm thinking like $30M+ signing bonus and 5 year contract, at least that's what I'm hoping hahaha

Agree 💯%, and frontload that contract to hell! That maintains cap flexibility and at the same time retain Bosa for at least 4+ years.

Without jimmy a little bit of the shine comes off deebs. Well see how this year goes.

About signing drama... Bosa aint deebo kittle or warner. Hes THE rainmaker. We want good will from him. Even if we have to pay a little more. And the sooner we settle with him, the sooner we can get that vet on the opposite edge. That will be key to fully leveraging Bosa in our scheme.

high praise from bosa. I wanted him so bad 😭. I'm rooting for the kid, let's see how he does with better talent around him. I'm surprised he said better than Lamar though.
Is he even showing up tomorrow without a new contract?

My source says no. Signed Wednesday.

He'll show, he just won't practice.

Ohio State connection
He should have been extended before the start of training camp. What's the hold up??
