What kind of havoc is this going to create on the salary cap for the near future?

Why? Nothing towards the 9ers. Love em but this has been no secret. It has been no secret he would need to be one of the highest if not the highest non-qb players ever.
Perhaps it's down to contract verbiage and not numbers but the 9ers, in this era are pretty top tier at contracts and completions.
Not worried at all. Just surprised.
I'm not surprised or worried. The Bosa's have a track record of being tough negotiators. And so does this FO. It just might take longer than most expected but it'll get done. Both sides probably just really ramped up the conversations last week as TC got near.
I remember the Crabtree negotiations. Paraag always wins

Was Lynch sleeping all off season? This deal should have already been done. It's not a complicated case.
ok
No credibility from front office imo. Starting from statements made LAST YEAR they promised bosa would be signed. Lol. What a fool to believe it.
I would love to know what they are arguing over. Is it 40m? Or 2m? Um they had 6 months off season to get it straight. Should be no surprises by now. Come on.
Negotiating is a two way street.

Paraag is too busy running Leeds United now. Lynch mentioned some other guy is in charge of the negotiations.

Bosa would dumb to practice without an extension. He shouldn't step on the field until they pay him.

No the issue with Deebo was all the talking, requesting a trade etc etc. I had no issue with Deebo holding out. Bosa has been quiet.

Yeah it's pretty easy to see the difference (I for one never wanted Deebo traded), but he's just trying to stir s**t up per usual with that post

Business as usual. It is in the player's best financial interest to be aggressive.
Plow that QB money into the D line and see if that'll win a championship.

I don't really view it as bosa holding out, he isn't threatening anything - he is just making sure he doesn't get a freak injury before his contract. You can bet your bottom dollar he's still working his tail off at home

His agent is the aggressive one. Nick has always said I just let my agent handle it all. I still believe the numbers are done and it's the verbiage in the contract holding up. I bet a $1 he's on the field by Saturday.

Yeah, it should be finalized by end of week. The team knows what it has to pay him, it's no secret. He's also worth it.
i think you're right, it's just language and structure

Yeah I was also just listening to Lombardi. So confusing. I thought the CBA said players to be fined $50k a day and can't be forgiven by team. Lombardi said he went thru the agreement and there are asterisks, A rookie/first contract player on fifth year option $40k fine a day and the team can forgive the fine. It only applies to players on 5th year options. Obviously, the 9ers will forgive and I guess no hurry for Nick while we wait for contract to be finalized.
Kind of an odd CBA out after the hype of no more forgiveness by teams for fines.
