It was reported that Deebo requested a trade during the offseason plus he scrubbed 49ers from his social media etc.

Not exactly apples with apples.

Exactly, way different, no one heard a peep from Bosa because he knows he's getting the bag.

No way he steps out of the jacuzzi without a contract. Please, don't.

With regard to the "two way street" comment, I feel like the club holds the initiative in these discussions. There's lots of details that can get ironed out before haggling over the numbers begins.

Hope our opening offer was the biggest payday for a defender in todays game. Hope that was our start. Anything else would be amateur hour.

Lol at trying to justify your reasoning for blaming one party and not the other after you admitted you have no details, no insight, no facts....so ZERO KNOWLEDGE of what's going on.

Let's do better.

This could be the first time in history 90% of the fan base is on the side of the player holding out. Front office cannot even whisper that they expect our future HOFer to play on his fifth year if they cant agree. Please don't go there sirs.

I didn't go anywhere.

Siding with either side without any facts at this stage shows a bias and we have no facts.

It's really that simple.

I totally agree with you. But in the absence of information, its easy to rely on fear. And my fear comes from paraag negotiating history for "team friendly" deals.

So yes. I admit it. I'm scared. I'm scared our front office obsession with bargain hunting will poison the waters with our freak generational pass rusher. There. I said it.

Do I have any "information"? No. But I'm scurred. I'm scurred we'll resort to contractual obligations to bludgeon our way past negotiations for a few million bucks. That would show our FO is not very good at creative problem solving.

But a lot of posters continue to insist we are on the verge. So I will white knuckle the next few days and say to myself "I believe." I believe.

This sounds absolutely ridiculous.

Warner, Greenlaw, AA, Kittle, Juice, Williams, Deebo....this FO managed to resign all of our guys we needed to keep.

We have zero reason to believe they won't do everything in their power to resign the best player on this team and keep the blue chip edge rusher with us for the long haul.

This. Have no reason to doubt this regime, they get the key guys locked up, they have the proven track record, not worried just want this to happen & I think it will before pads go on.

Fans usually want their star players locked up and to get paid, I don't think I've seen many situations where fans were upset their studs got retained and paid.

fans don't like it when the player goes bezerk and act a fool publicly and request to leave the team. Especially so early in the process.
Just handle the situation like a professional and not a child.
The same people complaing here were also likely complaining about Deebo.

But Deebo started throwing a public tantrum in (i believe) March maybe April, which many other posters strongly dis liked.
Nothing but (i look forward to the season) comments from Bosa's camp so most just understand he needs his contract before risking anything.

Lol right? Pay the DPOY and he will show up. Dude hasn't run around asking for a trade or anything.

also I never cared about Deebo last yr, he wanted to get paid and did what he had to do to get the deal done.

Yeah it's two different situations. Deebo used what little leverage a player has to get his maximum value. Bosa doesnt need any extra leverage. Everyone knows he's gonna get top non QB money in the NFL.

I can't wait to see the structure. Maybe they do the triple bonus structure (like Philly did with Hurts) to preserve cap room in the near future.

im not concerned st all about us resigning him. Just want it over so bosa can get to work with the team. The chemistry with Hargrave will be paramount to our success this year.

Just do a countdown, like Strwy. Those work wonders.
I predict he signs just prior to the pads coming on.
