The delusional side of me is hoping the fact that it's taking so long is because it's a massive 7+ year blockbuster extension. Let me dream

I think the odds of no extension, are near zero, it should be massive and long term
both parties are very much in on a deal, imo.

I can agree to that. Bosa's not a loud talkative guy that gets guys hyped up. More laid back and relaxed. Not a guy that's normally considered a team leader. Though his play clearly indicates that he is.

Agree. He knows what do to and he's been training. No reason to risk injury.
I appreciate how he's not doing media stunts to force a deal with is immanent.

No, it can't.
Idk about "increase" but you know he's still grinding. There is always the risk for injury
I've heard when some players held out that they can be more susceptible to soft tissue injuries like hammies but have no idea how true it is. I'm sure it comes down to their conditioning and couldn't have more faith in anyone's conditioning than Bosa. We are OVERDUE for an extraordinarily healthy season, hopefully this is it!
I think of it like not stretching before doing sprints, does that make sense? Your body isn't prepped for it and it can shock/strain your muscles and Injure you.
the stretching is training camp and the sprint is the season.

I expect almost a Trent Williams type deal where it's 6 years but I think rationally it'll most likely be 5. Hopefully no less

Is he asking for $35m a year? More? I thought maybe just verbiage in contract needed to be updated but it seems beyond that.
Really really surprised at this one. Of all players on the 9er squad you knew his contract was coming two years plus ago. Should be no surprises except maybe setting the market but at what cost?
Let's go Nick. Let's not put a jinx on things as we all know happens with this squad.

It's his agent. Bosa is letting him do his job. Of course he will push for every dollar he can get.

I think Chris Jones is still holding out also.

Tomorrow is a players' off day so if he isn't signed by the end of tomorrow I'll start to get a little nervous…

He is. Would be super helpful to get our deal done before they get theirs done but at the same time, Bosa's agent could be insisting we wait for it…

I can totally see that. Bosa's camp waits for Jones to sign then insists on more than what Jones got, and it'd be justified.

I'm predicting 5 years and around $170M.
By the end of next week.
