Franchise edge rushers are basically queens in chess. They're extremely nice to have and the second-most impactful piece in the game. But they're still not even a fraction as valuable as king pieces (franchise quarterbacks). Nothing is.

Lol what. The quesn is the most impactful piece. The king is more like an owner. Useless in battle, but pays for everything. Edge rusher would be like a rook.

Yeah we found that out in the playoffs against the Eagles.

Edge rusher can be neutralized by schemes. Run away from them. Double team them. Quick passing.

QBs handle the ball every time. You can't neutralize them except by pressuring them. Even then they can run or hit a short quick pass.

I love pass rushers but a true franchise QB will help win way more games.

Crazy thing is, we let that piece roll right past us in the draft for a Stanford DT!

It is quite common for holdouts to get soft tissue injuries like hamstrings when they return. The training and medical staff go through routines to bring players along gradually to prevent them, but I'd imagine he's doing everything they would have him doing to prepare for the season. I still worry also, though.

It might happen next year but we have the cash to do bosas deal already. His deal won't change for this year it's just his extension.

Next year though if we had to lose one player with big money to sign him I'd vote for deebo as well. Secondly kittle just because of the age and beat up factor. Third warner because we always have good lbs. Neither are ideal but that's what a dilemma is. Making a choice between two bad ones.

We will free some money up whether it's lance or darnold that goes next year probably won't be enough though. Deebo hurts us, warner is hurting us as well, kittle, cmc, trent. If you have to pick some I put trent and cmc as least favorite in my opinion to cut/restructure to free up cash.

No need to cut Deebo next year, they're gonna redo his deal IMO, saves over $15M, plus extending Dre, Mooney, & AA saves over $27M, total of over $43M, plus cutting Deebo only saves like $6M in 2024.
