And his current agreement/contract states that hd is now a candidate for an extension. When a player on a rookie deal has outplayed his contract, he should be compensated with a new contract at the earliest opportunity.

Just as a team can cut a player after a year into a 5 year deal because he's not performing, a player can hold out to get adequate market value when a team is underpaying him (which the niners most certainly are and have been with bosa)
